"It comes in 3's"

Early this morning Jake left to go out of town. I got Sierra off to school but before we left I heard a wierd noise at the kitchen sink like water was running but the sink was turned off. Nevermind we have to go. We got home and I was cleaning bathrooms and making breakfast and still heard the noise at the kitchen sink. I decided to open the cupboard underneath the sink and to my surprise there was water dripping everywhere from every hose. I grabbed the phone and immediately called my mom. "Mom please help I don't know what to do!!!" I was on the verge of tears. My husband was on an airplane and my mom suggested calling my dad but he was on the same airplane as my husband. My mom called my bro-in-law Rich and he told her how I can shut off the water to the sink and that he would be here at lunch time. In the meantime I got towels and put them under the sink along with a bowl to catch some drips that were still dripping. He came at lunch time and figured out that it was my faucet and he thinks it needed replacing, fine with me-our faucet had definitely seen better days. I went and got a new faucet and he came over after work to put it on. Before Rich got here I had the kids ceiling fans going in their room because the house was feeling hot. I walked past Ashton's room and noticed that his fan was unscrewing itself. I quickly turned it off and tried to hold it still. Too late, it had completely unscrewed and was hanging by a rope. Oh my GOSH! Meanwhile, Rich was in the midst of putting on the new faucet and discovered that he needed a part, my mom had just walked in and she said she would go get it (I was babysitting Blake and his mom was coming any minute, I couldn't leave). She was gone over an hour and said there was not a single competent person at Lowe's to help her. When she got back Rich began working away and discovered that one of the pieces may have been packaged wrong and he needed a different size. My angel mother went back to Lowe's to get the other part and she brought us dinner from Stonefire, the Stimulus Package! Sophi and their boy's hung out too while Rich was here which made it really fun! Dinner was so yummy! While we were eating the sprinklers came on in the backyard and guess what. A GEYSER! One of the sprinklers broke and there was a geyser in our backyard. Chris said "things usually happen in 3's." He went and fixed the sprinkler. Rich fixed the fan in Ashton's room and put brackets on his bookcase so it wouldn't fall over.

I am truly thankful for family that surrounds me, if I had been by myself today I would have been in tears. Now I will think twice before complaining about being suffocated! :) Love you guys!!!

I love my new faucet, something great did come from all the madness!

I'm glad there was a happy ending to the story! A few weeks ago we had to have a plumber come out... I was on the verge of tears when I called Hunter to tell him that some nasty stuff had come up from our shower drain...! I had no idea what to do. I'll keep the house clean and make meals... but being a "handy" woman is way beyond me!! Home ownership is a bliss though. I am so glad you are close to family who can help :) Love you guys!
