A YAY DAY!

This morning the kids had a dentist appointment. It was Ashton's first time! He did so so great! He was so brave. I had to be back there with him but he just did whatever he was asked to do. Sierra got an 88% score on brushing and Ashton 83 1/2%. You have to get an 83% to get a special prize out of the special cupboard. So they got so many prizes, one out of the drawer and one out of the cupboard and a balloon, they were thrilled!
The best part is that they both had NO cavities! and look how sparkly white their teeth are! :)
and then tonight we finally got to meet our newest niece, Melanie! She is so beautiful and so perfect. We enjoyed every minute of holding this sweet baby!

What's up?

Went to girl's camp late Thursday night with mom and Chris, they were doing the activity for the stake on Friday morning. Had a fun day with the girl's, climbed the rock wall, sat on the beach and enjoyed their sweet testimony's Friday night. Stayed up with girls till 2am, played Mafia that was fun! and then woke up at 6am to get home for Sierra's swim meet. Got home at 8am. Jake had her at her meet, I met them there. She once again swam great! We swam against the Summit Seals. She swam breast stroke in the Medley Relay and they got 1st. She swam individual Breast stroke,

Butterfly :),
and then Freestyle in the Freestyle Relay.
Came home and took a shower after being gone camping and then went to sleep for about 2-3 hours. I was exhausted! Can't imagine having had been at camp the whole time, I would have been a zombie! While I was sleeping Janelle came and got the kids to go swimming with Bryce and Curtis. Went to Janelle and Terry's to see Bryce and Curtis one last time because they left this morning with their dad, and our kids were there.:) Ate dinner and played games, heads up 7-up and Alibi.
Today gave a talk in Sacrament meeting. Ate dinner at mom's, kids went swimming.
The end.

Hurricane Harbor and meeting a new sweet face...

Today we went to Hurricane Harbor with Janelle and Bryce and Curtis. (Crystal's boy's are staying with Grandma and Grandpa for the week.) We had so much fun in the sun! Grandma is so fun, she is right there doing everything! She even went on Tornado with Bryce and Curtis. Way to go Grandma! :)
We hurried home to take a shower and then over to my Dad's house. Step-sister, Trina and her husband and new baby are living here for the summer, so Dad, Tori and clan all got home from Utah on Monday and it was so fun to go over and meet this sweet little guy, Kai, for the first time. I LOVE his sweet smile, Sierra is talking to him in this picture and he smiled at her.
We ate hamburgers and homemade french fries, roasted marshmellows over the BBQ and made s'mores. We visited, held baby, what a great night!

Surf Rider Beach

My sister, Sophi, wants to be adventurous this summer and try a new beach every week. We live is So. Ca and we always go to the same beaches. Today was Surf Rider beach. It's in Malibu. It was a beautiful day. Don't think we will ever come back to this beach but it is so fun to try a new one. There was seaweed all over and...
sea slugs lined the shores...the girls, Sierra and her BFF Karlie, were having so much fun...

collecting them.
The kids were having the time of their life. They were burying each other, holding sea slugs,

and there were tiny waves so they were all in the water. (Except Rossi, he was a little nervous.)

Stay tuned for our new beach next week! :)

It takes someone special to be a daddy!

Happy Father's Day to all those Daddy's out there!
This is my dad and this is me when I was just 5 days old. My dad is so cute! He is so so much fun! My dad is all grown up and very serious when appropriate but he has fun and enjoys life to its fullest. Everyone who is around my dad loves him because he is so full of energy and so fun! My dad is a very hard worker. My dad is ready for anything. My dad has a strong testimony. My dad serves others. My dad is a great example to me. My dad always tries to improve himself and do whats right. My dad still takes care of me and wants me to be happy. My dad will always be my daddy!
This is Jake's dad with Jake when he was almost a year old. Jake's dad is also a great example to me. He is also a very hard worker. He also has a very strong testimony. Jake's dad has a desire to help his children and help others. He is a wonderful father-in-law and I'm blessed to have him in my life.

This is my hubby with Sierra in 2001...
and this is my hubby with Ashton in 2004...
He is a great daddy to our babies. He takes time to talk with them and makes time to teach them. He also makes time to play with them, they adore him. He is a hard worker. He has a strong testimony. He loves to have fun. I'm blessed to have him for eternity.

Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a DADDY!

Happy Father's Day!

Today was a great Father's Day. Our daddy got breakfast in bed, a bacon and cheese omelet. Then he opened all his cards from his kiddos that they made him at school and he opened his new tie. He's wearing it, it has a picture of his precious ones all over it! :)
Jake spoke at church and I might add that he did a FANTASTIC job! We went to Jake's mom and dad's for dinner and then they hussled out to go see baby Melanie with Jake's sister Crystal. So we took Crystal's boys over to my mom's house and Jake and the kids went swimming. We sang Happy Birthday to Chase and we watched Alice and Wonderland.
A FUN FATHER'S DAY!

Wave vs. Sharks

Today was Sierra's first swim meet. Her and I were up bright and early and at the pool by 7am.
She first swam breaststroke in a medley relay and they won 1st. Then she swam individual freestyle and killed it...she improved her time by 8 seconds. :)

She just learned this last week how to do a flip turn and she did it!She also swam individual breaststroke and won 1st, she also improved her time by 10 seconds and got first overall which got her team points, her coach was very happy. She finished up swimming in a freestyle relay and not sure where they placed, 3rd or 4th but she swam great and did her very best and that is all that matters. She has FUN!

A Laker Night

Now this is the kind of basketball I like to watch...Jake and Ashton were shooting baskets tonight during time outs and commercials. My husband is a huge Laker fan. He has invested a lot of time in his life to watching Laker games so there were some frustrating moments tonight and some "COME ON"'s as they would miss their free throw shots, this basketball time with Ashton was maybe a little therapeutic. I love this Father/Son time the very most! :)

Now I do have to say that I do not watch every game with him, I'm usually blogging but tonight I made a special effort to be with my husband and watch the Lakers...WIN IT!!!!! The LA Lakers are the 2010 NBA Champions!
