Jake's boss Fred does a local TV show. He asked Jake to be a guest on his show to talk about why it's the right time to buy a home in Santa Clarita. Jake said he was a little nervous at first but like his candid self after he got warmed up he put on a show. :)

"Grateful that we can be together!"

Tonight Ashton said the family prayer and said, "we are grateful that we can be together!" We had such a great day together. Didn't do anything super exciting but it was still great!
Ran with my mom this morning and she told me this story..."When you were gone at Girl's Camp I just had Ashton at my house and we were going to make cookies. I asked Ashton if he would mind running down to your house to get 2 eggs. I thought to myself Oh, Vanessa would die if she knew I was sending Ashton down to get eggs! Anyways, Ashton came back a few minutes later and said, "Grammy, I couldn't find eggs but I brought back some cookies." And he had with him a bag of cookies that were in your freezer."
What a problem solver! I love that story! :)
We had the privilege of swimming with the Patterson kids today too! Jet is in town with her kids cause Dylan got married last weekend. So fun!
We got In N Out for dinner and for FHE we played Uno, 1 game in the house and then 1 outside on our patio table. We jumped on the trampoline with our whole family, daddy too! :) Layed on the trampoline and made a wish on the first star. Then we ate cookies and milk.
Love days like this!

No water at the campsite...lugging dishes to the ranger station to wash.

Overall, great experience! Glad I went!

12 years ago...

two people were in love and started a family! Two children were born and today those two swam in a swim meet together. It was Ashton's first! He was so nervous he was making himself sick, he almost threw-up! He dry-heaved a couple of times! BUT, he swam anyways and he did AWESOME!

Sierra swam the IM! Oh my! She was so nervous and she did SO great! IM (Individual Medley) is 4 laps, 1 lap of each stroke! She was AMAZING!

We left the meet and ran off to Melanie's 1st birthday party! She is such a love and we are thrilled that we were able to attend and celebrate her birthday with her. We love her dearly and can't believe it's been a year! :)
I LOVE THIS MAN! Today is our anniversary! 12 years! We spent the evening together and we love being together even more today then when we were first married 12 years ago! He is my best friend! We have been through so much together and grown so much together! I love you Jake and will for eternity!xoxoxox

First week of summer!

What a great first week we have had!
We have already had a trip to the donut shop!
We made a trip out to see Aunt Briana with Aunt Sophi already too! :)

and we got to go say goodbye to Danny! leaving for BYU!

A Baby Blessing

Today sweet baby Lucy was given a name and a blessing by her dad! WE LOVE YOU, LUCY! You are a sweet angel in all of our lives! xoxoxoxox

We went home after the temple and before the reception so I could make rice krispi treats for the chocolate fountain and Sierra saved this hummingbird from our kitty, Sierra quickly fell in love with it. It did die during the night, my poor Sierra cried.

Sierra had a job! She was the door monitor and collected presents. She did such a GREAT job!

Last Day, Party at the BEACH!

The last day was a FUN day!

Vegas Theme- not thrilled about that and Sierra was totally stressed out but the decorations were cute! and they were playing math card games and earning chips. The teachers were making Shirley Temples and they had a cotton candy machine.

I took my kids out of school about 15 minutes early and siblings met us at school and then we went to the beach. We got food from In'N Out on the way, it was delish! It was FREEZING but still SO.MUCH.FUN! Love to be with family!
Sierra was in the water even though it was freezing inside and out, she just can't help it, she LOVES the water!


Rossi LOVES her! The whole time he asks, "where's si si?" She loves him equally! :)

Headed home and then off to Dad and Tori's for pizza and hangin' out with all the fam in town for the wedding! Such a GREAT, FUN, FULL day!
