The Appliance is in...

She is such a good sport! As we were driving to Utah she complained a little bit and started to cry, she said, "I want this out". I gave her some Motrin and that was it, not another complaint.

Waves vs. Seals

Today was Swim Meet #2. Sierra did great and swam her hardest, again we are very proud. She swam in all of her usual events. She got 2nd place today in her individual Breaststroke event and she cried. She is so competitive! 2nd Place is GREAT! She just didn't get First and she cares. She got lots of pep talks from mom, dad, nana and papa! We don't care what place she gets, we just know that she swam her best and that is all that matters.
Love you Si!!! Great job today!!!

Beach day!!!

I am ashamed and embarrassed to say that we went to the beach yesterday with Jake's family and I forgot the camera! I will just have to document our great day with words. Jake sister Jenn is visiting with her family and we all went to Ventura (with the pirate ship) for the day. Our family, Jenn's family, Janelle and Terry and Travis and Miriam. It was cold, overcast and breezy. The sun peaked out for about 5 minutes the whole time we were there, that didn't stop us from having a great time. Sierra and Kate got in the water and found crabs in the rocks and sand crabs in the sand, they were pretty big sand crabs. Ashton played with his dump truck and sand toys with Nathan and then he played baseball with daddy and paddle ball with mommy. Jake and I played paddle ball too and it was so much fun!!! We also had a great time eating and visiting with family.
Last night Jenn, Bill and Kate and Travis and Miriam came over and we had a fire and roasted marshmellows. Lovin' our fire pit! Love it when family comes into town because it is a great excuse to party!!!

What we've been up to...

Well, I haven't posted for a few days...here's what we've been up to. We picked our first carrot, could have gotten bigger but I was impatient and had to see if there really was a carrot in there. Sleepovers and playdates with cousin Kate! Yesterday Grandma Janelle took Kate, me, Sierra and Ashton to Hurricane Harbor and we had tons and tons of fun. Even Grandma played right along with us, she would go on the slides too! There were a couple of the big slides that Ashton could go on because they lowered the height requirement but if he couldn't go than either myself or Janelle would take him to the Pirate ship or the other kid's area or the big white slide he liked to go on and and one of us would go on the slide with the girl's. The lazy river was a huge hit, we ended up in that lots of times throughout the day. We got there when they opened and we stayed until about 5:00pm, they closed at 6:00pm so we did pretty good. We were all so tired! Ashton was asleep at 7:45pm and Sierra by 8:30pm. She had a slight fever, I think she was so exhausted from the day and from being up late a few nights in a row. We have been playing hard! Thanks Janelle, it was a great day!!!!
Today pretty lazy, hanging out at home. Ashton did swim lessons this morning. We have Kate over and the kids are all in dress up clothes. Sierra a witch, Kate a princess, Ashton a dinosaur. I have homemade applesauce in the crockpot. Doing laundry, need to vacuum. Better get busy! :)

Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day 2009, Jake requested an omelet with lots of stuff in it and potatoes. That is exactly what he got...and he got it in bed, lucky guy!!!

The kids helped! Sierra grated cheese, broke up bacon and cut up sausage links. She also put the avocado on top. :) Ashton squeezed his daddy some fresh orange juice, he's great at that job!
Daddy said it was a "MONSTER" omelet and he could only eat half of it. He finished it for lunch! :)

Daddy got a Fire Pit!!! The kids were so excited to give this to him along with other things they had made for him. The night before they were laying treasures out on the table and I helped them record a message in a Father's Day card (SO CUTE!) and they kept saying I can't wait till tomorrow. Father's Day is like Christmas! :)

We went to church and I taught Ashton's class, Briana called as we were leaving church and said she was going to the cemetary with Dad and Tori to put flowers on Papa's grave. We met them there and had a nice time. So funny, Briana was looking for the vase to put flowers in and there wasn't one so she dug a hole in the ground on top of his grave and stuck the flowers in that. SMART! We went to my Dad's for dinner and had yummy Lemon Cream Chicken, Salad (that I made), potatoes, and rolls (that Sophi made). Finished it off with homemade apple pie.

Tonight, we used Daddy's Fire Pit for the first time. Grandma and Grandpa came over with cousin Kate, who is staying with them for the week. Grammy came up too. We roasted marshmellows and made s'mores. SO MUCH FUN!!! Some had Costco Apple Pie that Grandpa and Grandma brought over. Then we showed everyone our Wedding Video that we watched the other night. So wierd, everyone has changed so much in 10 years.

Then Sierra went with Grandma, Grandpa and Kate for a sleepover.
I am grateful for the men in my life, Happy Father's Day!!!

Waves vs. Dolphins

Sierra's First Swim Meet for this season was at our pool, we raced against OO1 Dolphins.

Her first race was the Medley Relay, she swam the breast stroke.

Her Relay Team got 1st place! Great Job girls!!!

Her next race she swam individual Freestyle.

She got 4th or 5th place but this year she was a good sport and didn't cry. She said "I'm okay mom because the girl from my team won", what a team player! :)

Next she swam Individual Breast Stroke...

and won First Place! Sierra your a ROCKSTAR!!!

In her last race she swam in a Freestyle Relay...

and she swam first...

and last!
They didn't win. She is so awesome! She swam her very best and she swam twice in her Relay Team, that is hard to do and very tiring!
Sierra we are so proud of your efforts! You are incredible!!!!

Update...

Ashton went with my mom to Briana's last night and they spent the night. Sierra couldn't go because she had Swim Team pictures. She went and spent the night at Sophi's house. Jake and I went to The Odyssey for dinner. We had our luncheon at The Odyssey the day of our wedding. Last night, we sat by the window and had a great view while we ate dinner. We got Coconut Shrimp to share (my fav, SO YUMMY!), Jake got Prime Rib and I got the salad bar. Jake shared a bite of his Prime Rib and it was really good. We took home the Endless Chocolate Cake to share, OH MY GOODNESS-SO GOOD!!!! When we got home we watched our wedding video, SYTYCD (we had to see who was getting voted off) and then we watched "Valkyrie" with Tom Cruise, very interesting. A great night! and I slept until 9:30 this morning, HEAVEN! Thanks Mom, Briana and Sophi for helping with the kids.

Happy Anniversary!

Today, Jake and I are celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We are High School Sweethearts, we dated for 4 years before we got married. We've watched each other graduate High School, COC :), Police Academy's. We've run in 5K's together. We've traveled together. We've gone through two pregnancy's and from what I hear (from my mom) I'm not easy to be around when I'm pregnant but Jake is good to me. :) We have had our ups and our downs and we are still in love. We have been through alot together and so far have had many adventures. We are excited to see what adventures await us.

Jake, because we are celebrating 10 years of our life together I am going to tell you 10 things that I love most about you!

1. I love the way that you love me and take care of me.

2. You make me laugh and smile with your great sense of humor.

3. We have so much fun together.

4. You are so strong and so handsome.

5. You are a great dad to our children.

6. I love how great you communicate with me.

7. I love your passion for life.

8. I love that we can excercise together.

9. I love that you are such a hard worker and you have such a great desire to provide for us.

10. I love that you love our Savior and that you honor your Priesthood.
There are more that I just can't leave out...I get so excited when I know I'm going to see you. You still give me butterflies. You still make me weak in the knees when you kiss me. :)

I love you so much and will love you forever!

Not many can say that they went to a High School Prom together. :)

In our dating years we snorkeled in Catalina.

One of our great memories, you took me to The Phantom of the Opera.

You were in the Police Academy and we went to Mandalay with my family, still dating.

Finally, our magical day! June 18, 1999

Our romantic honeymoon at the Chimney Sweep Inn. We stayed in that building right behind us. LOVED IT, can't wait till you take me back! :)

Such a magical time, the birth of our first baby! Definately the beginning of an adventure.

An equally magical time, birth of our 2nd baby. A boy, another adventure.

So many adventures, so many memories, so much fun! Can't wait to see what happens next...

Braces have begun...

This morning Sierra got her spacers. She was nervous, ready to cry. She wanted me to come back with her and then when she was told that it was no big deal and she is going to laugh then she wanted me to go wait in the waiting room. She was out in like 5 minutes, it was so fast and she got a fan and a window ball. She is on her way!

Swim Lesson Success and a Pool Day of Fun!!!

Yesterday Swim Lessons were no go. We had long talks about it and after Sierra's swim practice she got an Otter Pop from the snack bar and Ashton didn't get anything because he didn't do his swim practice. So he promised everybody that today he would get in the water. Well, HE DID!!! We got there nice and early so he had time to sit and think and watch and look around.

Time to get in...

He swam to his teacher, Sydney...

He did some crazy kicks...(that is what Sierra's coaches call it :))

He blew bubbles...

He floated on his back...

He floated on his tummy...

He practiced his Freestyle arms...

Then he swam his best Freestyle...

He did a rocket ship...

He played Ring Around The Rosy...
"We all fall down"

Looking for Ashton's blue swimming ring that he tossed as far as he could :)...

Ashton getting ready to dive for his ring...

HE GOT IT!!!

Practice swimming...

Kicking...
GREAT JOB ASHTON! MOMMY, DADDY and SIERRA are so so PROUD!
We left Swim Lessons and went to a Cooking Class at Liz's house. Great fun to watch Liz cook and visit with friend's and taste yummy food. Thanks Liz! And thanks to Tim, Emily and Shane for watching the kids in the backyard. We went to Grammy's and ate some more yummy food and grabbed Lincoln so he could play with us and went to our "Mom's at the Pool" day. The sun was out today!

This hot tub was not hot it was freezing, kids don't seem to mind.

Sierra had fun with her friends, she even brought her mermaid tail. Here she is with Breann.

She was even laying out with her girlfriend's eating cookies and drinking lemonade. This is the life!

Ashton was practicing his swimming skills...

and his cannon balls!

Lincoln was doing alot of observing.

Then we went home for a bit and then off we went to Sierra's swim practice.

Ashton loves to play with our Toypedo with Daniel in the baby pool. They shoot it across the pool and then jump for it and see who gets it first. GREAT FUN!

He got 2 Ring Pops, lucky boy!

Sierra works so hard at her practice. She makes me very proud! She finished off with a Ring Pop too!
