10 years ago...

this sweet little girl made me a mommy!!! I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father trusted me enough to send her sweet spirit to my care.
She brings so much joy to my life...being a mommy is the best job ever!
She is kind, thoughtful, forgiving, loving, fun, smart, beautiful, strives everyday to make good choices, shows gratitude, loves her family, loves her Heavenly Father and Savior, she remembers to say her prayers better than she remembers to put her retainer in. She is a great swimmer, a great student, a great daughter, sister and friend. She is a treasure.

Last night in the middle of the night she had me up with her several times. She has a cough and was up alot coughing. I was tending to her and getting her medicine and making her comfortable so she could get some sleep. On our way to church I said that it was so appropriate that I was up with her in the middle of the night because 10 years ago she had me up in the middle of the night with contractions! :)

We had a birthday dinner at Grammy's and Grammy made these yummy chocolate gooey cakes that were so so DELISH!

THE birthday party!

Sierra was so excited for her birthday party. She didn't have a party last year. She planned the entire thing. She typed up her invitation herself and addressed all the envelopes. She researched for games she wanted to play. She came with me to buy party supplies and get the balloons. She wrote name cards for where she wanted each girl to sit and inside their name cards she wrote a note to each of them. She is such a party planner!
First we played this balloon game, see how many balloons you can pick up in 1 minute. We played until daddy came home with dinner.


She LOVES In-N-Out and on the invitation she wrote to have each of the mom's email me with their order for In-N-Out. She was so excited when I started getting emails...she was interested to see what her friends liked to eat.

Daddy came home with a special birthday hat for Sierra!

Cousins were in town to help us celebrate too! Sierra LOVES her littlest cousins!

Watching Megamind and eating popcorn and lots and lots of candy!



Played musical pillows...opened presents...said our goodbyes! Thanks girls!

school celebrations

She got a new dress from her nana and papa and wore it to school. My oh my, does she look so very cute!

She loves homemade chocolate cookies, smart girl, and that is what treat she wanted to share with her class.

I made a giant cookie for her...and her class made her a birthday poster. She knew they were going to and was talking about it this morning, she was so excited!

Tonight my dad took us to PC's (Thai food) for Sierra's birthday...what fun! Sierra loves PC's, her favorite is pad thai.

Happy President's Day!

For Sierra's 10th birthday she decided she wants to redecorate her room...so today we went to the paint store and picked out the paints and me and Grammy painted today and her room went from yellow to this...
She got a new bed from Aunt Sophi and we ordered her this new quilt too!!! (sorry quality of picture not that great but I just took a quick one)

Happy Birthday to my lil sis!

Mom, Chris, Sophi and Rich went down to Briana's to have dinner with her and her family for her birthday which was yesterday. Jake and I had meetings and appointments for church so we could not go but we had Dad and Tori over for taco salad and in honor of Briana and her birthday...

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm not a huge fan of Valentine's Day...I think we should show love, kindness and appreciation for our loved one's everyday...however, this year I got an idea from ourbestbites.com and I had fun with it.
First, my mom gave me these letters because she decided she was not going to paint them so I painted them and got crafty and put paper and a bow on the v.

A surprise breakfast idea from ourbestbites...my kids woke up to a heart by their bedroom door that said "follow me"...I wrote on all the hearts like conversation hearts and a trail of them lead to the kitchen table.


I made heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes...

my little valentine's are quite cute!


my hubby got a bag of licorice (it's his fav) and he brought me some flowers. Sierra had piano and then Sierra and I went to swimming and for dinner I had made ribs, potatoes and salad.
So grateful for my loved ones and I enjoyed loving on them. Sierra said "this has been the best day EVER!"

Night at the Gold Rush Museum!

Last night the 4th grade had a showcase and it was SO good! It was held outside and each 4th grader had a frame with their characters name and a quick description of who they are and a lit candle next to them too, so the play yard was filled with frozen statues by candlelight and when you stood in front of them they came to life and talked to you and told you all about themselves. There were 49ers, bandits, sheriffs, doctors, seamstresses, etc...SO SO CUTE!

Tonight me and Si were picking up my mom because we have signed up for swimming and we were on our way. We were waiting in the car for my mom and Si was talking about her bathing suit and she said "babing suit"! I LOVE IT! She has been saying "babing suit" since she was tiny and this proves that even though she will be 10, yes TEN, in a couple of weeks, she is still my little girl, my baby girl in fact! Yes, I like that better! :)
