What our night looked like last night

Kids went to the dentist yesterday and NO cavities! YAY! The best part was they said they wanted to brush their teeth after they ate something. They kept asking "do my teeth still look sparkling white. :)We went to Nana and Papa's house for dinner, that was nice! They left today for Paris. So when we got home Sierra was finishing up her math homework.

Ashton kept asking over and over again for help to build his new lego guy and noone was helping him. I told him he needed to try to do it himself. HE DID! His FIRST time following the directions building something complicated out of legos. YAY! He followed each step, so great! Then he wanted a picture of his guy killing his T-rex. Boys! :)

Things are looking up!

Ashton is in a class at his school that I have not been thrilled about. The teacher is very sweet. The kids are nuts and very rude. I would describe his class as CHAOS!!! It has been emotionally exhausting for me. He is not happy at school and I have to be there whenever I can, multiple times a day because he cries whenever I leave him. I observed the other classes and what a huge difference, there was order and routine and it was peaceful and it made me smile. I went upstairs to talk to the director of education and expressed my concerns. I told her that he still cries when I leave him, I even got emotional. I told her that I only have 2 children and that our home is NOT chaotic and that environment is not good for him. He is also a good student but there were a lot of distractions. I want him switched to the other class. I don't even care that we are almost a month into school. The Director told me that she believes he would also do better on the other side but, it's full. She will do what she can. I left there hopeless and thought what are the chances. I was trying to make the best of our situation. I got a phonecall from Daniyella on Wed. night at 8:30pm. An answer to my prayers!!! "Tomorrow morning he will be in Ms. B's class. So report there in the morning." THANKYOU! I was so nervous because I thought Ashton would be so nervous to switch. He was nervous when I told him in the morning but OH how wonderful it is. SO WONDERFUL!!! He is much happier and mommy is too!!! YAY!
The only downer is Sierra was jumping on the trampoline and tried to do a flip and her knees hit her nose. Ashton came running in and told me that Sierra has a bloody nose and she is crying. I walked out there and she was hunched over and blood was dripping everywhere. She had on white leggings that weren't so white anymore. I got her cleaned up and lying on the couch and then I had to hose off the trampoline. She is fine, but that was pretty gnarly!

When we got home we got out his baby book and looked at all his ultrasound pictures and birth pictures. At 8:59, I grabbed him and hugged him and held him and said "Happy Birthday!" Daddy came and took him away from me and was hugging him too and said "Happy Birthday!" and he said, "why did you take me away from my mommy!" Daddy said, "because your mine too!" :)
Happy Birthday my little man! Here's to many more! and REMEMBER...Mommy loves you!

Ashton's almost 7 and...

he's already grown a moustache.
Friday he got a new bike. Him and I have already been on 2 bike rides.

Saturday we went on a hike, Towsley Canyon.

Grammy, Grandpa and Grandma joined us.

Grammy and Ashton ran part of it, Ashton's such a good runner.

Then we sang Happy Birthday, blew out a candle and enjoyed a brownie.

Tonight we had Grammy over for dinner. Then, SURPRISE, Bergener's were on their way home from being at Monte and Amanda's in Northern Cali and stopped to eat dinner with us. We had to hurry and think of something so I pulled cookies out of the freezer and we sang Happy Birthday to Nixon and Ashton. They share a birthday (on Tuesday)! :)

Celebrations have begun and we're not done yet! :)
