Babies, Babies, Babies!

2010 is the year of the babies in our family!
The stork is going to be very busy!

Step-sister Trina having a baby!
Step-sister-in-law Christa having a baby!
Step-sister-in-law Jenny having a baby!
Sis-in-law Rosa having a baby!
Sis-in-law Miriam having a baby!
and Sister Briana having a baby!

Sweet story to go along with my sister's baby...Got a few hints this weekend something might be up. She ran walked with my mom on Friday and I asked my mom why they didn't just run and she said because Briana said her foot hurt...hmmm...on Saturday we all went to spin in the morning and Briana was not her crazy go for it self, she was taking it easy! hmmm... At one point over the weekend I asked her if she was pregnant, can't even remember what tipped me that time. But the answer was "no". Sophi was suspicious too and asking Briana and mom and she was getting "no's". On Sunday her hubby Brett was asked to bless the food and half way through his prayer he got emotional and thanked Heavenly Father for his wife, Briana and for their new child within her! Needless to say everyone was crying and they got lots of love after "amen".

Candy Houses!

On Saturday my mom had all of us over and we made our candy houses that we make every year. A very fun tradition!!!!

Uncle Norris helped Sierra make a village...Thanks Uncle Norris!

Thanks Grammy!

In heat and everybody's miserable!

We can't take it anymore, poor kitty! She has been in heat for 4 days! We feel bad for her but now it's getting annoying. She is moaning, stiff, butt in air, uncomfortable, meowing all the time if she is not moaning, in need of constant attention! The clinic is closed today, I'm calling first thing tomorrow to get this problem taken care of!

a perfect weekend...

All of Jake's siblings came into town for Thanksgiving, and Aunt Leanne too. We enjoyed every minute of the time we got to spend with everyone. Wednesday night we ate yummy taco salad and then played some games.

Thanksgiving day we took pictures at the park and then we played and cooked and ate and looked at Black Friday ads. My kids enjoyed being with their cousins!

On Friday was our Young Family Reunion! In the morning we went for a hike at the Placerita Natural Area. Very fun!

Then we had lunch, sandwiches and pasta salad, all together at Terry and Janelle's. Janelle wanted to paint a flag with all the grandkids hands and feet prints, so after lunch we painted. We then had a pinata at the park!

Then we had a video Scavenger Hunt...so so fun!!! We were split up into 4 different cars, 4 different teams and we had clues to go to 4 different places. We had a list of things we needed to do and video ourselves at the different locations. I really enjoyed, I thought this was so fun!!!
For dinner we ate Chinese food together and the kids ate out in the garage on a blanket the whole weekend, they loved it!

After dinner we watched old family movies and played a couple of games. I won the jar of skittles because I guessed the closest number. I guessed 220 and there were 238. I never win anything!!! Janelle and Terry then shared some thoughts...Janelle was emotional and said that Jenn had told her not to expect much out of the Family Reunion, so she wouldn't be disappointed when it didn't go perfectly. Janelle then said that the Reunion exceeded her expectations! She thought the weekend was perfect! We all enjoyed being together, I thought it was a pretty perfect weekend too!

"a paper Curtis"

Jake's sister is in town for the Thanksgiving holiday and my kids love playing with her kids. Last night we stopped by Jake's parents house to see everyone and our kids got very busy playing. It was time to go and they were both very sad. We got home and Ashton says, "I just want to make a paper Curtis so I can play with him all the time!" :)

Thanksgiving Program

Today was Ashton's Thanksgiving Program at school. It was so so cute! He sang all the songs and remembered his parts!

Ashton drew the picture he is sitting by. One of the things he drew was a heart and he said to me, "mom here is my heart!"

This is Ashton's best buddy, CJ!

I'm thankful for a good husband...

Yesterday at church I was sitting in between both of my kids. Jake put Ashton on his lap and whispered in his ear and then Ashton was off to go sit with Grandma and Grandpa. Jake said to me, "I wanted to get rid of him so I could be closer to you." :)
Last night at his parents house we were sitting down to eat and he noticed that I didn't have any water in my glass and he reached across the table to grab the pitcher to pour me some water. :)
The little things that we all do for our spouse matter more than we think they do! My husband got me to smile from the inside out!

Thursday...

Today consisted of pie making and pack meeting...
Sierra took Apple (her fav) to Activity Day's for their Thanksgiving Feast...

and then I made 2 pumpkin (Ashton's fav), 1 for him and the other for Sierra to take to school on Friday for her Thanksgiving Feast at school!

Then we went with Daddy to Pack Meeting because he was in charge of a skit with his Wolf Den(a really cute skit, Hunting for Thanksgiving Dinner), Sierra played the piano for their skit and I helped set a few things up. Ashton wore his Turkey Slide that Jake had made with his den (thanks to Kymmer for the idea and for supplying the necessary supplies). He is our future cubscout!

hike

My sister Briana was in town this weekend and she took us on a hike, she researched areas in our valley and decided where we should go. We hiked up to Hart Mansion and then kept going. There is a hiking trail and it took us all the way to the campgrounds and then passed Saugus Train Station and back out to the stinky animals, which we got to look at too! We all had so much fun, Thanks Briana!

The kids had so much fun!!! They were running practically the whole time! The funnest was running down the hills!

Sierra's Rock...

Ashton and Nixon's hiking sticks...

Briana and I died in the end...don't we look dead?

Alvin, Dead or Alive...

I worked Lunch Duty at Sierra's school today and her fish Alvin is now the class fish and she is the Zookeeper and she told me his bowl could be cleaned, looking yucky. I told her that because I will be at the school on Thursday that I would pick him up and take him home. I had dumped out most of the water from his bowl and as I was driving home I made a gentle turn and his whole bowl flipped upside down and all the water spilled out and Alvin was laying on the floor mat not moving. I was freaking out, what was I going to tell Sierra! I killed her fish. I looked down again and he was in a different spot on the floor mat so I knew he flopped but now he wasn't moving again. I yelled, "Don't die Alvin!" I got home and ran in the house and filled a cup of his special water and ran out and touched him and he flopped, he was still alive!!! I grabbed him, not a pleasant experience, and put him in the cup and he started swimming around. I saved Alvin!

SUGAR-FREE

I've been doing a sugar-free challenge with my mom, Sophi and a few other women and we don't eat sugar Sunday through Friday and on Saturday we get a free day and can eat as much sugar as we want. What keeps us going and diligent is we have to report to everyone in the group each night and it's not fun to confess that you cheated and when you see that everyone else is sugar-free you think, I can do this! It is very hard, some days are harder than others but when we started this challenge and I was not eating things that were presented to me I realized how much sugar we actually eat! It has been especially difficult around this Halloween time when I have buckets of yummy candy that I want to eat and I know where it is hiding! :) Tonight I watched a movie "Hotel for Dogs" with my kids in my bed and I put our two bowls of candy in front of us and we just ate and ate until we were sick! I also ate a sugar cookie earlier in the day that I had been saving in my freezer! Oh and later tonight after the kids went to bed Jake and I watched a movie "The Proposal" and I broke open the box of Dark Chocolate Raisinets and ate half the box! What a FUN, sugar filled, yummy day!

Sierra's First Field Trip in 3rd Grade

Started out as a crazy morning...I planned to drive Sierra and her 2 little friends, Caitlin and Karlie on the Field Trip to the Reagan Library. I had not turned in all of the paper work necessary to be a school Field Trip Driver but I had permission from their mothers and Karlie's mom had talked with the School's Founder who said it was fine if I drove with permission from mothers. Well, when I got to school the Field Trip Room Parents were not okay with me driving and went to discuss it with the teacher who also was only going to let me take Sierra. Meanwhile, Karlie took her note from mom to the teacher and then walked past me, crying. I grabbed her and told her everything would be okay I would figure this out. I started to fight! I went to the teacher and told her I had parent's permission, why isn't that okay! Karlie is completely stressed out, scared to go with anyone else. She took me to talk with School's Founder and I told her the situation and she told me it was fine that I could drive the girl's and she would talk with the teacher. Then I got on the phone with Caitlin's mom and told her they were not going to let me take Caitlin, I then handed my cell phone to Sierra's teacher and she spoke with Caitlin's mom and I was good to go. OH MY GOODNESS!!!
What a great field trip, I love the Reagan Library!!! Learned so much about president Reagan, what a good man, talented man, honest man! I forgot my camera but my mom came with us and took a few pics with her cell phone and will email them to me and then I will post them.

SAD

Okay, this is very sad. I started laundry last week and never got it put away! My life has been crazy, I feel like I'm in a tail spin. It has calmed down and therefore I have a little bit to concentrate on chores. So, now it's laundry day again and I quickly folded my mountain of laundry so I would have room for my new mountain!
These are the clothes that have been sitting here for days that I finally folded...
This is the beginning...
I'm happy to report I got it all washed, folded and put away last night!!! :)
