Look who we saw!

Perfect!

The day started out perfectly. Brett and Briana came up and met us in Mentryville. We went hiking and then took some cool photos by the historic buildings of Mentryville, including the old schoolhouse.

 The day continued with perfection. This handsome boy was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am so proud of him, his decision to follow Jesus Christ, follow Heavenly Father's commandments, he is a good boy with such a sweet spirit. He was so nervous. He doesn't like to be the center of attention.

 He said he felt so good when he got out of the water, not nervous anymore. He said it was fun! :)
Sierra played the piano ("Come Follow Me") while they changed.
Then Ashton and his big boy cousins, Nixon, Rossi, Lincoln, and Rocky sang "Nephi's Courage".
Uncle Norris gave the talk on the Holy Ghost.
Then Ashton received the Holy Ghost surrounded in a circle of great men who honor the Priesthood they hold and Ashton received a great blessing by his daddy.
Bishop remarks, "...only get baptized once through our whole eternity, we as a family and ward family are here to take care of each other..."
Sang closing song, "When I am Baptized" led by Aunt Briana and piano played by Aunt Miriam

 I LOVE being his momma!

 So fun to be with cousins!

Came back to our house for veggies, pizza, salad and homemade mac and cheese. Had brownies for dessert and one of Ashton's favorites, rainbow sherbet. :)
 Pleasure to have Great Grandpa Elmo present for such a special day!

8 is GREAT!

This is my sweet boy! He just had a very special birthday. Big things are happening for him!

These are a few of his favorite things...sherbet icecream, sour patch kids, "Phineas and Ferb", cubscouts "cause I turned 8!", basketball, playing with cousins, legos, going to the pool and the beach (with my cousins), and going to my cousins house and playing on my Grammy's I-pad, reading Halloween books when it's time for Halloween, favorite holiday is Halloween and Christmas.

 

He woke up on September 20 with excitement in his eyes like it was Christmas morning. I made him his favorite breakfast, chocolate-chip pancakes. He took "Simply Fruit Strips" to school to share with his class. We put a label on them that said, It's "Simply" great! Ashton is 8!

I helped in his class cause that is another of his favorite things! Then we left at lunch time and met daddy at the Habit for lunch. Ashton used his Habit certificate he got from primary. Then we dropped daddy off for golfing and me and Ashton went to Toys R Us and he got a tank with Aquasaur eggs. He got to hatch his own prehistoric fish and 2 of them hatched but we didn't feed them right and they only lived for a few days, COOL anyways!
After Toys R Us we went to Lady Di's and got a cupcake and I sang to him out on the patio. He was a little embarassed. :)  Then we went back to school and picked up Sierra.

 The kids went to Grandma and Grandpa's house while I went to school for an hour. Then I got Jake from golfing, we went and picked up the kids and met Norris and Brenna at Red Lobster for Ashton's birthday dinner. Ashton got shrimp just like he wanted. :) Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna came back to our house for a bit and Ashton opened his presents. He had a GREAT day!

This is my cubscout. He LOVES cubscouts. He is SO enthusiastic and wants to pass something off in his book every minute of every day. Today is Sunday and he went to his room and put on his cubscout uniform. He put his hat on yesterday and today right when he woke up. He LOVES being a cubscout.

 On September 21st we had a birthday party at Sky City for Ashton's birthday. We took advantage of $5 Friday and I paid for eveyone to get in, we played for 2 hours and then met outside for cupcakes and opened presents. Perfect!

On Saturday the 22nd we went to see the Bergener's cause Nixon and Ashton share a birthday and Ashton wanted to see Nixon too for his birthday.  We went to Elevator Beach and rode the elevator down. That was pretty fun!

 Then we picked up Costco pizza for dinner and went swimming. Watched the first 1/2 of "Toothfairy 2" and then came home. We had a great day!

Ashton got a slurpee machine for his birthday from his sister. This last Sunday evening Norris and Brenna came over to go on a walk with us cause Brenna was having contractions. :) We made slurpee's for Norris and Ashton. They loved them, it was too small for Norris. :)

 On Monday, October 1st, my nephew was born. My brother became a daddy! Tate Norris is a precious gift from heaven.
On Wednesday Norris and Brenna brought him home and I took my kids over to meet him. He's so tiny, a little burrito. :)

This last Friday night me and my kids had a slumber bumber with Norris, Brenna and baby Tate. I was provided the privelege of helping to care for him during the night. Brenna would nurse him and I got to change his diaper and soothe him. Between 1 am and 2 am he was super fussy. I was bouncing him in every position I could think of. Then he went poop, poor baby had a tummyache. Right before he pooped he calmed down. Then I had to change his diaper, he got all worked up again. Norris came in and he took him and started talking to him, "Hi baby, did you miss daddy?" Tate instantly stopped crying and opened his eyes and he was staring up at Norris. A precious moment that I will never forget. I didn't even care about sleep. I loved changing his diapers, I loved snuggling him every single second. I love him! Thanks Norris and Brenna! Tate is such a lucky baby, Norris and Brenna are so adorable and such great parents!
I made pancakes for breakfast and we watched Saturday morning conference with them. Then we came home and helped daddy with yard work and I fixed the patio table. Watched afternoon conference. Sophi came over last night during Priesthood session and we got In 'n Out and the kids played. Fun Fun weekend! Tried to watch Avengers with Jake last night but I could not stay awake, new baby sleep deprivation...not used to that. :)

Oh, and so far I'm doing great in my class...93 out of 100 on my lecture exam and 104 out of 100 on my lab practical. :)

I met someone today...

And I simply adore him!
