My little singer...

Sierra was asked by my mom about a month ago to sing as a part of her lesson in Relief Society for all the Ward Conferences. So her and Sydney Illum sing "Search Ponder and Pray" for all the wards. Today was the 3rd ward they have sung for and I was able to go and watch. What a sweet spirit those two voices bring to the room. Sierra gets nervous each time but gets up there and does it. They sounded like angels! They did such a great job!

Sierra said to Grandma 2 nights ago, I learned this in Relief Society! :) To ask the question, What does Heavenly Father want me to learn today? and then open my scriptures.
She is learning too from this experience in Relief Society, she is listening!
So grateful to my mom for giving her this opportunity!

Saturday...

We were supposed to be out of town this weekend to Crystal's (Jake's sister) house but 2 of her kids got sick so we postponed and our weekend got filled up very fast.
I started off my sugar day right! Today I tried a new recipe for breakfast and it was so so DELICIOUS! Chocolate Chip Pancakes...

Then we went outside and rode bikes and played with our Escalade...Ashton is learning still to ride his bike without training wheels, he can totally do it but he gets scared. He had to practice before I would get out his "black car"...(I was arguing with him for most of it to get him on his bike...he was scared because he was wearing shorts so I had to go get his pants and then I had to convince him to get on his bike...finally he rode around the circle 5 times and then he could be done. I don't know why he gets scared, he has never crashed and never got blood from riding his bike.) I will get a pic of him one of these times...He does a great job riding when he is not being scared...

Me and Sierra went on our first run together...she did so great!

We had tuna for lunch and kitty got her first tuna can to lick from...

Then we took kitty to the clinic to get her stitches out...
and had quite the experience with her in the car...we love to take her in the car when we are just running somewhere quick but today she was all over the place...Ashton and Sierra love to hold her and they fight over who gets to hold her, they have to take turns!

She was even on the steering wheel!

We returned our movies to the Redbox. LOVE THE REDBOX!

Went with daddy over to the Ford dealership so he and the kids could test drive a bright blue Mustang with a black hood so he could get a free lift ticket to Mammoth, now Ashton wants to buy that awesome Mustang!

Had Vincenzo's for dinner! The most delicious pizza! and watched Lincoln and Rocky so Sophi and Rich could go to a Surprise Birthday Party!

A: HORNY!

Mom: umm...Let's choose a different name, that one is not going to work.

A: Why?

Mom: Well, hmmm...Let's just think of other awesome names...that word can mean something not very nice.

A: (with Sierra's help) How about Dino?

Mom: That sounds great! :)

This is my boy...

I got to work in Ashton's preschool class today, Ashton loves it when mommy stays and works. He got to hold the flag and lead the class in the pledge.

At the end of the school day he got to share his toy's. He shared his new awesome Hotwheels that Daddy just got him the other day from Ralphs...(BTW, he doesn't talk very loud when he's sharing, you can hardly hear him. He's shy but I'm proud of him because he gets up there and does it even if noone can hear him)and his Wolverine that he got to wind up and show his class how it walks across the floor.
I love this boy more than anyone will ever know and we had a great day at school! ;)

The sun is out and the mountain's have snow!

This morning I went to spin with my mom and we left the house at 7:30am. It was freezing out! There was frost on the roofs and cars and grass! The clouds go away and everything freezes over! :)

What have we been up to this week with all the rain?

We've been rearranging bedrooms...The week before all the rain I would sit in Ashton's room and think about what I wanted to do with it, I wanted to move stuff around. So this week we did it and he loves it! Then Sierra wanted to move her furniture around and I said to her there are not very many ways that we can move your furniture around, she replied "mom, we can put this here and this over there" I told her I would think more about it and then the next day, more rain and she was at school so me and Ashton moved her room around and when she got home from school she was so excited! She loves her room too!

Sierra Sugar-free!

Sierra is now part of our sugar-free group and she has been doing great all week. Today she went to Activity Day's and I should have reminded her about sugar-free before she went but I forgot. She got in the car and then a minute later she said "Mom, I had a cookie! I forgot about sugar-free!" She was so concerned. I told her it's okay we all have days where we forget or we just eat the sugar because we can't stand it anymore. She then ate a cookie later that night at Grammy's too because she had already messed up. She did great again yesterday. She will tell me right when she get's home from school that she was sugar-free! This morning I made waffles and put syrup on her's and then she said "mom, can I eat this?" Yes, you can because it is Saturday!!! She's AWESOME!!!

Ashton Sugar-free?

Ashton tried to be sugar-free on Tuesday. He went to Grammy's house for a couple of hours to play with his cousins and when he got home I asked him, "Ashton, we're you sugar-free?" He looked concerned and said "mom, do sunchips have sugar? cucumbers and dressing? is a fruit roll (100% fruit strip) healthy?" So cute!!! He stayed sugar-free until after dinner when daddy asked him if he wanted to go with him to the grocery store to get some licorice. He looked at me, I told him it was his choice to be sugar-free, he needed to decide. Needless to say, he went to the grocery store with daddy and enjoyed his licorice. :)

It's Raining, It's Pouring...and we just love it!!!

Ashton watches for the big puddles, we were driving Sierra to school this morning and he saw a big one and said, "look at that mud puddle!" He loves to put on his boots and stomp in them! :)

Baby Shower, NUMERO UNO!

Today was my step-sister Trina's Baby Shower. I say numero uno because everyone in our family is pregnant and this shower was the first of many! :) Very exciting! My sister Sophi hosted it and she did a great job, beautiful shower with great company, cute deco's and yummy food! I made a delicious apple craisin salad with homemade dressing. I forgot my camera but my sis Briana brought her's, so nice she came from OC for the shower. Love it when she comes!

Sophi and I made this diaper cake! It was so much fun to make and we were so excited at how cute it turned out! :) Someone even thought it was a real cake! :)

NO MORE HEAT

This cute little kitty will not be in heat again...She got fixed today! So happy! Took the kids with me this morning to drop her off, Sierra cried once. She was sad we were leaving the kitty all day and she was having surgery. Sierra said, "I don't know if I trust them." :)
Picked her up this afternoon, kids were so so excited when they called her name.
She's not her usual self, not feeling good! Walking funny, kind of lopsided. Can't move very fast. Sleeping alot. Poor kitty! She will feel better soon and it will all be worth it! :)

Light Painting...

Tonight I had the privilege of taking pictures of the Mia Maid's Light Painting. Bro. Brad Smith taught me how to set up my camera. I had half the girls and Bro. Smith took pics for the other half. It was so fun! The girl's were so clever! Here are a few...

Today was a success...

kids are happy! Getting back into a routine! Hope tomorrow goes well! :)

Back to School!

I have to admit I hate back to school time after such a fun holiday break. Maybe I'm the only mother who does! :) I love having my kids around. This morning was tough for both kids too. Sierra cried when I dropped her off at school and then I had to take Alvin (the class fish we donated so Chloe doesn't eat him) to school too so Ashton and I parked and walked him in. Sierra wasn't in the classroom when I got there, she came in a few minutes later crying and asked if I would stay with her for a few minutes. I did, didn't help! Hope she can pull herself together and have a good day. These breaks are really hard for her...hard to leave home and get back into the swing of things. Then I took Ashton to school and he didn't want to get out of the car. Finally I convinced him to get out so after school we could go on the Safari that he was talking about. (his idea to go on a walk and take pictures of the grass and cars and bugs, you will be able to find pictures of our safari on his blog later). So here I am at home catching up on my blog and hoping that my kids are happy at school!

NEWS!

Sierra got a new haircut by Grammy while we were in Mammoth and she lost a tooth too! Her tooth started wiggling on Wednesday and on Friday it popped out while brushing her teeth. She thought that maybe the tooth fairy would bring $50 since her tooth came out in 3 days. Nope, she brought $1, the tooth fairy can't afford that! :)

watched lots of movies, read and slept!can't leave out eating yummy food! My mom always goes all out and cooks for us the whole time. We eat so good! My fav was homemade buttermilk pancakes every morning, oh and homemade french toast, homemade lasagna, and homemade chili and satay chicken (with peanut sauce) and some other yummy chicken and hot lemonade. It was all my fav, so DELISH!!!!


Jake had to leave midweek to get back to work, I just enjoyed my kids! and being with my family!
