Lovin'

This last Tuesday we were introduced to our new nephew, oh how we love him!!!

Thursday I met with a nursing coach and am excited about where I'm headed, sometimes you feel a little lost in this whole process. Not so much any more. I'm grateful I was introduced to her and now I have a great resource. I just need to make more nurse friends, :) cause they are the gateway to getting hired. :) I have a while though, I'm just going to focus on each day and getting an A. :)
After school Ashton had his reading assessment, teacher said he has improved a TON, doing great!
Thursday night my mom brought dinner over and Trish came over with Sophi's kids. Sophi was on Catalina Island with Rich Brett and Briana, fun stuff!

Friday my mom brought dinner to the park and we met Norris, Brenna, Marshall and Whitney, James and Cammi, Trish and Sophi's kids. Norris brought his remote control airplane and we had fun watching him fly it around.

Saturday we went to the pet store, grocery store, my dad paid for my car wash :), and the boy's got slurpies. We watched Hugo and it's a little slow but enjoyable.

Today, Happy Mother's Day! My family shows me sweet love and that makes it a great day! I got waffles with homemade jam and strawberries, a banana with peanut butter, my favorite. Sierra cut out a cute paper and taped it to my waterbottle. (They had a hard morning, Ashton spilled milk and broke a glass and Sierra at the last minute wanted to tape the paper on my water bottle. Jake was a little flustered but I was just taking off my toenail polish and laying in bed, reading my scriptures. :)) I had a great morning. :)
Jake had responsibilities at church to pass out cinnamon rolls to all the women. Me and the kids went to CC2 ward to listen to my mom speak. She did such a wonderful job! It was fun to sit with Granny too, she held my hand. :) I'm grateful for my mom and my granny, they are amazing women, give me great advice and are wonderful examples to me and my family. I'm grateful for my beautiful sisters too, who are wonderful women and beautiful mothers.
So many women surround me and buoy me up. My mother-in-law, my sister's in law, my friends. I'm grateful for so many elect women that I can learn from, we can help each other and encourage each other... Motherhood is the greatest job in the world, it is also the hardest. :)
We had lunch at granny's, my mom made lasagna. I LOVE lasagna! We had a great afternoon, love being together!
We had dinner at our house with Terry, Janelle, Travis and Miriam. We got to snuggle sweet baby Scott again! :) and the kids jumped on the trampoline with Melanie, she LOVES the trampoline!
and Melanie LOVES Jake too! :) So cute!
Happy Mother's Day!

He DID it!!!

Tonight it clicked and he can completely tie shoes all by himself, YAY!

another week

another busy week...got my exam results back, pure excitement, thanks to my Heavenly Father, got a 100 on my lecture exam and 103 on my lab practical. :)
Thursday went with Jake to Costco to buy all the food for the breakfast he needed to make for the the Father's and Son's campout Saturday morning. That afternoon Sierra had Activity Days and Ashton had a class party, he has great teachers, Sis. George and Sis. Domingo.
On Friday my kids school was having a Relay for Recess at Castaic Lake. It was an opportunity for our school to raise money for cancer. We walked, did a couple of activities and danced, a fun day! I walked with Ashton's class cause didn't want any little one's to get lost. His class was "Team Daniel", Daniel is a boy in his class who was diagnosed with Leukemia last year.
This picture is precious...Daniel went up to the front to get a medal and he said a few words, his friend, Ramsey, got to put the medal around his neck. Made me cry. In this picture we were doing the silent lap and Daniel had friends, including Ashton, surrounding him.
Friday afternoon Sierra had her first Orthodontics appointment for round 2, ugh...starting this process again. But, what a beautiful set of teeth she has to look forward to.
Friday night Jake and Ashton went to the campground for Father's and Son's. Sierra and I babysat Melanie so Grandma could go out to dinner. We enjoyed Melanie and we got The Habit for dinner! :) When grandma relieved us we went home and made popcorn and watched "Nancy Drew" together. When dad and Ashton returned I helped Jake cut up oranges and get food organized for the early morning return to the campground.
Saturday morning Jake was slaving away making breakfast for all the men and boys and we got to celebrate my nephew, Rossi's, birthday by going hiking. What a fun morning. My mom made crepes and brought strawberries, so yummy!
Now he's 4!
 Rossi, Nixon and Ashton
 There's Brenna with Sierra

 Here's the waterfall! :)
After hiking Sierra got to babysit Melanie at our house for a couple of hours, Nixon came over to play with Ashton. That afternoon we went to a BIG birthday bash. We celebrated Rossi and Lucy, Lucy turned 1 on May 2. We partied at Dad's house, ate yummy Cinco De Mayo food and swam and swam! :)
Saturday morning I got a phone call from Janelle saying that our newest nephew had arrived at 5:55AM.
While we were hiking, I got the first photo on my phone of Scott Hunter, born 5/5 at 5:55. :) He was born at 8 lbs 1 oz, 20 1/2 inches long.
This is the photo of him sent in an email later in the day by Janelle. None of us have been to see him. We all anxiously await the moment he comes home and we get to snuggle and kiss him. :)
Tonight we had dinner with Janelle, Terry and Melanie. Played outside with Melanie. Came home and ate candy and cookies from the pinata yesterday, yum!
