My heart melts...

Jake was watching a basketball game last night and our little guy climbed up and laid on daddy and watched the game with him. Ashton was asking daddy questions like "who do you want to win?" "Who's winning?" Moments like this I want to remember forever!

Spring Break Fork Shakes

I never buy icecream! But, it is Spring Break and I bought Mint Chip icecream and Vanilla and tonight we had Mint Chip Fork Shakes after Family Home Evening of course. :)
Did I mention I'm Loving SPRING BREAK!

San Gabriel Mission

Today we went to the San Gabriel Mission with Bill and Jenn and their children and me with mine and Janelle. Kate is in 4th grade and is studying the California Missions and for Extra Credit she wanted to visit this mission. We enjoyed being with family and learning the history, very fascinating!
Sierra, Kate, Ashton, Nathan and sweet Megan
Sierra took all the pictures, except for just a couple and this is one of her masterpieces! A great picture, she's being artistic! She loved visiting the mission and wants to make a poster of all her pictures and do an Expert at school and teach her class about this mission.

This is the Bell Wall...

and this is the kids ringing the bell.

Happy Easter!

I love Easter! I love reflecting on my Savior and his Resurrection! I am so grateful for Him and for all he has done for me. He brings me such comfort knowing that He has felt my pain and heartache. He has set such a great example for me and I'm grateful for my knowledge and testimony that I can teach my children about Jesus Christ and why we celebrate Easter. He Lives!

The Easter Bunny hid our Easter baskets last year and sent the kids on a scavenger hunt to find them. Well, they loved it so the Easter Bunny did it again! :)

Sierra is reading the final clue...
There they go into the car to find their baskets!

CROCS, just what they needed! Mom and Dad were happy! Sierra was happy too, she loved hers and especially the Jibbitz that came with them. Ashton, he liked his crocs and the Jibbitz he got to put on his crocs but he said to me "how come we didn't get anything fun?" I just said "oh, I think the Easter Bunny wanted to bring you something that you needed this year because you already have so many toys." I felt guilty! I should have just put one Hotwheels (even though he has a million) or something. Later I told my sisters and they told me not to feel guilty. I'm over it now. Maybe next year. :)

UP NEXT: The EASTER EGG HUNT!

They are getting so big! They found them so fast and there were alot hidden! This was one of 3 hunts. They got to do one at Grammy and Gramppy's and then another one at Grandma and Grandpa's.

LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE! We spent the afternoon with Terry and Janelle and Jake's sister, Jenn, and her family and then came home to feel the earth shake (very gently and not hard, Mexico 7.2 felt all the way to Santa Barbara) then we went to my mom's for Ham. A fun day!

Easter Preparations...

Today we watched Conference. I love Saturday Conference! We filled plastic eggs with jellybeans. We dyed our hard boiled eggs. I made an apple pie! :) Went to the park while our daddy was at the Priesthood Session and met other mom's and kids there while their daddy's were at the Priesthood Session too and we played and played and then we went to my mom's house for dinner, she made yummy chicken enchiladas. Came home and cleaned up the house for the Easter Bunny. Sierra helped Ashton write a letter to the Easter Bunny and she wrote one too. Left those out on the table and then quickly hopped into bed.

A great start to Spring Break!

I did PE this morning with Sierra's class at school. We did soccer and her full time sub she has right now is from France and he plays soccer and he coaches all 3 of his kids soccer teams so, he taught PE today and did all these drills with the kids and taught them skills. It was awesome! Today was his last day because Sierra's full time teacher will be back to school after the break so we took advantage.

Ashton had a Spring Party at school today and had so much fun! They colored eggs, ate yummy treats, did Easter crafts and went on an Easter Egg Hunt.

This is my sweet boy sitting with me eating his Easter candy from school while we were waiting for Sierra to get out of school.

Sierra finally got to see her Uncle Blake! A sweet reunion! :)
Ashton had his first T-ball practice with daddy as his coach and Uncle Rich as daddy's helper!
How cute is this...he's ready!
He said to me, "mom did you see me run the bases, I passed the other guys!"
He had so much fun and asked if he had T-Ball practice tomorrow. :)
Then we went over to Terry and Janelle's house because Jake's sister Jenn is in town with her family and enjoyed bbq hamburgers and visiting and playing with cousins. Janelle, Jenn and I went on a walk with little Nathan on his bike and Ashton on a scooter. Those boys had so much fun, they were hard to keep up with while we were just walking. Sierra and Kate definately enjoyed each others company, we never saw them. Sierra got to have a sleepover too! FUN!

April Fools

Today I picked Sierra up from school and she was telling me all about this nasty fall she had at school and she cut her knee really bad and there was blood. I asked her if it was gushing, asked her if she ripped her pants, asked her if she cried. She said no it wasn't gushing but there is blood, no she didn't rip her pants, she cried a little . I just kept telling her I will look at it when we get home and she will be ok. Well, I dropped her off at Activity Days and told her to have fun and her knee will be fine. I will clean it when she gets home. What a bad mommy, I didn't even look at it! My mom brought her home for me and she was limping through the house and when she got to me she said, "April Fools!" Oh man she got me!
We babysat all day and after Sierra got home later in the afternoon Ashton said to me, "Mom Carla's here." I said, "What?" and I was looking around. Then he said, "April Fools!"
Man, my kids are good! :)
