A brave boy!

Ashton had his Kindergarten check-up today and he was so brave. He did whatever the Dr. or nurse asked of him. Climb up on this chair...he did. Step on this scale...he did. He was so so good and then they came at him with shots and still he was so brave. He had to have 4 shots. Poor baby! He didn't even cry, he started to and then stopped. He held so so still and hid his face in me. The Dr. said we needed to draw blood but we could do it another day. I asked Ashton because he did so great during his last shots maybe we should just draw blood today. He started to cry and said "no, mommy please, not another shot." OHHH! Do I even need to say that we did not stay, we will do it another day. We went to Walmart and got a pack of 3 Bakugan's. A happy boy!
No complaints about any of them, he even had his T-ball practice and still loved every minute of it, "mom I got a ball that ____ hit and it was going really fast!!!"

Mother's Day Tea!

Today was Mother's Day Tea at preschool. Ashton and I went on a date! :) All the moms were told to wait outside because our child had a special surprise for us and needed to tell us something. Here he comes, to give me a beautiful flower that he made for me, it even smelled good! (his teacher sprayed them with perfume :))

"Happy Mother's Day Mommy, I love you!"

We got to do centers together. Ashton had already drawn a picture of me, I just needed to draw a picture of him and then we painted each others hands and made handprints. When we were sitting to do handprints I asked Ashton if we should have a yellow background paper and he said "no mommy, we should have pink because pink is your favorite color!" OHHHH! What sweetness!
They hatched butterflies in their class and today we got to release them...so fun!

"Goodbye butterflies!"Ashton made me a very special plate, I also got a special card shaped as a dress and a keychain that says I (heart) you!

So many emotions have arisen today! I love Mother's Day but at the same time it is emotional! My kids are so so sweet and want to do so much for me. Sierra helped me clean the bathrooms yesterday. They have been hiding out in Sierra's room making things for me. There was a poem read today at our tea that struck something inside me. It was called "Leave Me at the Door." It was all about starting Kindergarten and growing up and slowly leaving mommy's side and it made me sad. My baby is starting big time school in the fall, I'm not ready! I still cry every year my Si moves up a grade and I leave her at school. Now they are both leaving me! I adore my kids, yes they make me crazy but I still ADORE them! I LOVE being a MOM!
I thank my Father in Heaven for sending me my two beautiful children.

For Time and All Eternity

Today, cousin Marshall and Whitney joined as one! What a beautiful day! Marshall forgot his Marriage License, oops! It was locked in his car at home. My mom and Chris and the clan they had with them in the car called AAA but Uncle Randy, Marshall's dad, drove back to get it and beat AAA. So the sealing started about 1 hour late. It was worth the wait...Brother Larkins was so perfect and gave these two love birds great council and advice. A great start to their lifetime and eternity together! :)

(cousin Timmy, Rossi-down in front, Sierra, Nixon, Lincoln, cousin Amanda's baby, JR and Ashton)

I love being at the temple with my hubby! :)

The reception that night was so fun...Jake and I danced, Sierra and Ashton danced and we all had so much FUN! My brother, the best man, sang a song from Moulin Rouge during his toast and said that he and Marshall used to sing that together, so funny! During Aunt Ruthie's toast she said I just want you to have lots of babies, their babies are going to be so cute, have lots of them. :) Danced with Marshall for $1 during the money dance and that was so fun to finally get to talk to him. Ashton stood out there with all the big boys to catch the garter but he didn't get it and he was sad, I was so proud of him for going out there, I was so surprised. Sierra stood out there with all the big girls and she caught the bouquet, she was so awesome, she jumped up and got it. Loved watching, she was so aggressive. :) She's been telling everyone, so excited!

Congratulations Marshall and Whitney, we love you!
