our week

We had a great week! Busy week...
Pajama day on Monday
SCVi spirit day on Tuesday
Wednesday, Crazy Hair Day (Sierra has a bunch of pony tails, not just 2) :)
and a field trip with Ashton and his class to LA zoo...here is Ashton with Eliza G.
Wednesday night I had my 3rd exam and practical. I spelt brachii wrong and it is killing me! I emailed my professor and asked for mercy cause I erased it 4 times, with an h and without an h. We'll see, hopefully I did well. I NEED an A in the class.
Thursday was twin day and my kids were twins (actually quintuplets and triplets) :) with their friends. They looked darling.
Babysat Melanie Thursday evening, went to Janelle and Terry's for dinner, Sierra had a playdate at Chloe's with Karlie there too.
Friday was Carnival day or rainbow day...kinda lame but whatevs! We drew (instead of face painted) pictures of a dinosaur and a basketball hoop on Ashton's face and Sierra wore lots of fun colors and we painted her fingernails rainbow.
I went to a meeting where I got lots of advice on how to get in a nursing program.
After school we ate lunch, waited for the Rayne water guy to change our filters. Then we went to Pinkberry to use a gift card I got a long time ago, it was so yummy. We ate our fro yo out by the fish at the mall. We tried to save a fish that looked like it was stuck, hopefully we did, don't know for sure. Ate In N' Out for dinner.

Saturday morning I was up early to go for a run, then off we went to Mormon Helping Hands. Jake chopped crab grass away from the curb and me and the kids painted alot of red curbs red again.
Then we had invited the Delhoyo's to a play, "Wartime Romance", that Jake's company sponsored. His company fed us lunch too. It was so fun hanging with Miles and Heather. We had their family over after for pizza and they brought yummy chocolate cupcakes. The kids really had so much fun and grownups did too. We got to snuggle sweet baby Xander, oh I love to snuggle him! :)

Last night we got a phone call from the primary pres., Theresa Jensen. She asked if tomorrow in Primary Sierra could  share a moment when she felt that Heavenly Father loves her. She didn't write anything down she just knew exactly what she wanted to say.  So today she did it and got emotional and I guess every woman in there was emotional and I wasn't there to witness it but I got an email afterwards from Shauna W. saying how amazing Sierra is and how proud they are of her. Tonight I saw Theresa and both her and her husband were praising Sierra too. :)

We celebrated Grandpa's birthday! Happy birthday Grandpa! Loves and Hugs! Many more! :)

Old News

There is no time for blogging anymore! Only time to take a breath! I am so glad I only enrolled in one class because this one class is very time consuming. I feel like I'm reading, studying and doing homework when I'm not watching something and cozying with hubby, taking care of my kids because they have needs too :), doing something for my calling in YW's, working for my mom or running. I LOVE all of my duty's honestly, I'm not complaining. I LOVE school, I LOVE my husband and children (BEST JOB), I LOVE my calling, I LOVE working with my mom and I LOVE to run. I also LOVE being busy! I just don't get to blog everyday, that's ok as long as I can squeeze it in here and there. So to catch you up...
I had my 2nd exam this last Tuesday and I studied as much as I could and then I prayed really hard that Heavenly Father would help me retain the knowledge because I just wanted to study all weekend but instead I went to the temple with Jake on Friday, hosted a Friendship dinner at our house on Saturday, had dinner with mom and Sophi and families at Grannie's on Sunday, had to help Ashton write a talk on Sat, write out assignments for the youth on a flyer to pass out on Sunday because I was also in charge of the Combined Activity on Tuesday night. All GREAT things but I needed help from above and he did send his angels because I got an A. :)
In other news about a week and a half ago Sierra limped out to my car as I was waiting for her in valet at school, one of her shoes was off. During PE she was jump-roping and landed on her left foot sideways. She bruised it pretty bad. I wrapped it with an ace bandage and sent her to school like that for the next 3 days. Her foot didn't seem to be getting any better so last Thurs. I took her to the drs and they x-rayed it and told me that it wasn't broken just badly sprained. He gave her a boot to wear to school which was much better than wrapping it every morning. She has been wearing the boot ever since and we are now starting to see improvement. :)
Yesterday I got to go with Ashton on his first field trip in 1st grade to the Underwood Family Farm. They first taught them all about fruits and vegetables.

Then we went on a tractor ride in the trailor...

and then we headed out to the fields.
We each got to pick a bag of vegetables. Farmer Jon taught us how to pick. We picked baby carrots, fennel, cilantro, golden radishes, and lettuce. Some of us also got stung by Stinging Nettles, a plant that stings you if you touch it and it hurts like a bee sting. One brushed up against my leg and left a welt. Stung for about 7 minutes.
Each of the kids got to pick a baby sugar pumpkin.
 Mrs. B's class-October 12, 2011
When we got home Ashton was so excited about all of his vegetables. We washed them and ate some of the baby carrots. We made a big salad for dinner with the lettuce. Ashton kept saying this salad is the freshest we've ever had, fresh from the farm. It was such a HOT day at the farm but so much fun being a farmer.
Today is sister, Sophi's birthday! Happy Birthday Soph! LUV YOU TONS!
Had a stake YW's leadership meeting tonight. Jake had a softball game. Mom was nice enough to come and be with the kids, they got to watch a movie and eat icecream and candy. That doesn't normally happen at our house on a school night. What a nice Grammy! :)
That's a wrap! :)
