posting on the go

I have been posting from my phone lately cause it is SO easy! But the pictures from my camera are so much better, it is what it is, I do what I can...haven't been feeling the love lately though, 0 comments. Was it something I said?
Sunday's have been quite depressing since my mom doesn't live up the street anymore. She doesn't even cook much anymore. Some Sunday's we are invited to eat with family but it seems that mostly we are on our own and after I get over the hurdle I quite enjoy a nice evening with just the 4 of us. :)
Tonight we had our mom's over (Terry is out of town). It was a nice evening. We ate Lemon Chicken, rice, roasted veggies, salad and bread.
We watched Frozen Planet and ate chocolate.
We watched our new movie "we bought a zoo" and ate popcorn.
Signed Ashton up for summer basketball, crazy?! He has been obsessed, watching Lakers with daddy every chance he gets and is GLUED to the TV, he knows all the players names, and he plays basketball every chance he gets. Maybe, we'll see! :)

OH BOY!

A baby boy is almost here! We celebrated he and his momma this last Thursday! Miriam has great friends and family who love her dearly! It was a beautiful night!

Can't wait to snuggle him! :)

Easter Weekend and Sharky

Finally posting Easter weekend but what a great day to get caught up, Sunday. We had a great weekend, made frozen hot chocolate!

Annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Halladay's, here's me...hiding the eggs we brought. Have to bring 12 plastic filled eggs per child and then each child leaves with 12 eggs. :)

 All the kids! So FUN!

Then we dyed eggs at home, the kids were so clever. They drew such creative things on each egg, I even cooked more eggs so they could draw and dye some more.

Easter morning, before all the searching and searching began, we had the kids come in our bedroom and Jake shared an Easter message with our family and then we each shared our testimony of our Savior, really brought the Spirit into our home, a great start to a beautiful day...in their baskets they each got new flip flops; a movie, "We Bought a Zoo;" Sierra got a lava lamp ;) and a Reester Bunny; Ashton got a Lakers t-shirt, sour bunnies and a giant ball. :)

 Happy Easter!

LOOK at my Easter shoes! Aren't they so VERY cute!
In Ashton's class at school the kids in his class and the adjoining classroom sold popcorn at recess and lunch to help raise money to adopt a sea animal. Well, they raised enough money to buy 4 sea animals. :) With the adoption they send a real picture of the animal, a stuffed animal so all of the kids named their adopted animals and now take turns bringing them home and journaling about their adventures. This last week Ashton got to bring Sharky home with us for a night and Ashton LOVED taking him everywhere with us, to piano lessons, the grocery store, he played basketball with him and jumped on the trampoline with him. :)

Spring Break

I've have to work but a positive is I make my own hours and my kids can come with me.
We went and got Si some new church shoes.
Today we had lunch with daddy at his office and then we went to the Honey Farm.
Now we are at Karate and Ashton is learning sparing, he had a private lesson cause it's Spring Break and all the kids are traveling. He gets to be in the boxing ring. He was excited that I get to stay and watch cause I don't have class.
Yay for Spring Break!

Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend and this weekend is no exception! It reminds me of what is most important and I recognize where I need to improve. Yesterday it was rainy and misty so we just cuddled and worked on notes. Ashton's teacher, Sis George, brought him a bag of helpful goodies. A whole packet of activities and notes. A box of crayons, a pencil, a glue stick, BINGO cards and jellybeans. Ashton has been so enthusiastic about listening to Conference and filling in his notes. Sierra is such a great listener and today she got out her notebook and was taking notes and played couple of BINGO games with us too. Aunt Leanne and Marne watched yesterday afternoon with us too!
It has been a perfect weekend!
