FHE Variety Show

Let me start by telling you the background...Our school had a variety show and the girls were feeling like they wanted to perform but not necessarily for the whole school. So we gave a suggestion of having a family variety show. So, our family and the G family got together for FHE and had our own variety show.
The girls had a lateover last Friday and put together this program. They planned the whole thing, even did their own choreography.

Yep, we even had to get them matching outfits!

After a whole evening of trying Ashton finally started dancing for the last #.

A great show! A long show, about 1 1/2 hours. :) Loved watching the kids perform the whole time. They were in their element, enjoying, having the time of their life! :) We went for Tutti Frutti afterwards. Special thanks to Papa for coming and supporting Sierra.

Happy Father's Day!

Yep, we celebrated Father's day today! My dad will be out of town next week so me and Sophi made dinner for our dad. I made rolls...

veggies, and an apple pie (apple pie is one of my dad's favorite!) Sophi brought delicious lemon cream chicken, potatoes, caesar salad with homemade croutons, and watermelon. Oh, our dinner was so good!

Rich won't be here either for Father's day so we sang Happy Father's Day to him too! :)

and Welcome Home to our daddy, he's been gone fishing for 3 days. Caught total of 15 fish. He's happy to be home and we are happy to have him back. Ashton said to me this morning when we were getting ready for church. "Mom it's just not the same without Daddy." I agree. :)

OC

Day started off at 6am. Got a shower in and packed some clothes, bathing suits and food and water. My dad picked us up at 7:15am. Headed to the OC. We spent our day with Briana and family. Sophi and family were there too. We got there about 8:30am right in time for Nixon's Gymnastics performance.
We were all goofing off while Nixon waited for his turn. Lincoln did "fire power."

Rossi was my vending machine buddy. I took him there with the first $1 and then I created a monster. "What, treats comes out of there?" We made several trips back with Brett's dollars and dad's dollars. The other kids were into it too! :) Look at this face though! How could you not want to buy him another treat when he grabs your finger. Sierra got some sour skittles. :0 She loves them! Ashton does too!
Nixon was showing his skills.

"TA DA!" He got a medal and a certificate! Way to go Nixon!The day was cloudy and cool. Us mom's were not up to getting wet. What we were up to is laying around. Dad and Briana went and got yummy things at the Mexican market. Dad bbq carne asada and we made guac and ate tacos and chips and watermelon. So Yummy! While they were out dad got Briana her new carseat for her new bundle coming soon. So cute! We just watched movies and ate while the kids played. I felt like I was on vacation. So wonderful! We got to help Briana do a couple of things too, we weren't completely useless. :) So fun to go and visit her, I love where she lives. Went to Yogurtland too! Got home super late. Such a fun day!

Open House

Today was Sierra's Open House and Sierra was so stinkin' cute! She wanted me to see every nook and cranny of her classroom. She wanted to read me everything. She wanted me to sit while she showed me exactly what they do for morning meeting. She taught me Singapore Math. She wrote a math test out and I had to do every problem. She sang a song in Spanish with her classmates and a shark song and a Disneyland song. She was so animated and such a performer. She did a science experiment with baking soda and vinegar and baking soda and Sparkling Apple Cider. Yes, they both bubbled. :) Ashton wanted to drink the stuff that was there for the experiment, the Sparkling Apple Cider and the Sprite. :)
Tonight she is having a lateover with her BFF, Karlie, and me and Ashton are having bonding time. :)

Field Trip and today...

Sierra got to go on a Field Trip today to Castaic Lake to learn Water Safety and she got to go in a kayak. So fun!
Me, I changed poopy diapers. Made mac and cheese. Played with toys.
Went to In 'n out with my kids and my dad and Golden Spoon too!
Went to PetSmart, my kids love that store, love to look at the animals and fishes.
