Happy Birthday Paislee!

This is Paislee with her mom Jenny. Paislee is my step-brother Rod's baby girl. This was the first time that I have gotten to meet her. Lots of family has come into town for step-sister Brittan's wedding on Saturday. Paislee is such a doll, adorable, beautiful little thing! We loved each other right from the start! :)

A few weeks ago I got a voicemail on my cellphone that explained that she was from the Green Team and that Sierra won the Logo Contest! I started to cry! I always think her drawings are so cute but wasn't sure she was going to win. The lady that called said that they all loved her logo so much that one of the ladies even wants to make a costume out of it!

Sierra's End of the Year Presentation

She did such a great job! She had such enthusiasm! She pretended to throw up and threw some pink flarp. She talked about how she is kind and compassionate and threw kisses out to everyone. She held up pictures of her teachers and had everyone give a round of applause. She was ADORABLE and so animated. Loved every minute! Grammy came to watch her too! :)

Last Game, Time to Party!

Sierra was in charge of the line-up. Jake gave her the list and she made sure the players were where they were supposed to be for batting order. She LOVED that job!

He won the award for being The BEST Team Player. Every team needs a player like Ashton who's willing to do whatever the coach needs for the team to be succesful! :)

Dinner and Babies

Tonight my mom and I got to bring dinner to the Illum family and love on these sweet babies!
Congrats Illum Family! They are perfect and OH, SO BEAUTIFUL!

Presentations and the Flea Market

This is the Gaga Pit. Ashton loves this game. You cannot touch the ball with your feet or legs. You hit the ball with your hand and try to get another person out by hitting them with the ball in the legs.
Ashton did his presentation today in front of his whole class. WOW! He has made leaps and bounds. He would have NEVER done that at the beginning of this year. He mentioned the Gaga Pit as one of his favorite memories in Kindergarten along with, Fridays because we get to go home early :) (well Sierra does!), computer time, the Pumpkin Patch because he got to take home a pumpkin, the Gentle Barn, going to the Getty and his favorite part of the Getty was sitting under the pink flowers. Good Job buddy!
Daddy even came, that was special! Mommy is always at school but not Daddy! :)

and then we went to the Flea Market. All the kids in 4th grade had to take out a loan from their parents and will pay it back with interest. Then with that money they had to buy supplies from their teachers. Make a product and today they sold their product. Sierra's group made headbands and were one of the first groups to sell out. They made enough to pay back their loan and they made a profit. What a great experience for these kids to learn this concept at such a young age.

Kooky Kids was their shops name so they dressed Kooky. I think they look pretty cute! :)

Day #2

This is Ashton's first year being on our neighborhood swim team. Today was his 2nd practice. He LOVES it! Yesterday we got to the pool and he stood next to me and very matter of factly said, "I'm not getting in the water."
mom: Yes you are!
A: "no, I'm not."
mom: YES you are!
A: Nope
(then the bribery)
mom: if you get in the water I will give you your money that is in the cupboard.
A: okay where do I get in
He has NEVER used a kickboard before and it is so cute! He looks all around to see if he is beating the other kids. He bobs his little booty up and down to try and go faster. He's competitive just like his sister! :)

it's only the 2nd day and coach Patrick moved him to the lane with the faster kids because he said he was doing good. I don't know if he's ready for THAT, but he seems to be fine and it's great because he is being challenged.
He gets out of the pool and asks me, "mom, did I do good?"
"Yay, you did SO good!"
He says "I went to the deep end lots of times without you!"
"mommy is SO proud!" :)
