more Mammoth

Brett and Norris got us a Christmas tree.
Sierra and I fought over Tate. :)
The boys always slept together and we read them Christmas stories at bedtime.
It snowed and snowed...the window was covered to the top when we left the day after Christmas.
Tate was literally the center of attention.
Playing in the snow was a favorite. Kids being old enough to play out in the snow without an adult was my favorite!

Aunt Briana first taught Ashton how to knit a scarf.
Then she taught me how to knit a scarf.
This handsome fella, Oh how I love him!

 Zumba
I knitted and held a sleeping baby while they did Zumba.

The kids made homemade ornaments for the tree.
Then it was my turn. :)

We peeled and cut up apples so mom could create...
an apple pie. Sierra poked the Christmas tree on the top.
The kids made snowflakes and Sierra taped them up.

We all snuggled every chance we got!
 Santa's little helper

Salsa con queso was a hit!
 Lucy loved the snow!

I think it's safe to say "we love Mammoth!"

FHE in December

Today was our first day of Winter Break! I LOVE having my kids home! This morning my brother came over and babysat my kids so Brenna, mom and I could go do kickboxing, so fun!!! Sophi brought her kids over too cause she had to go work in Lincoln's classroom. Sierra got to babysit Lucy while Uncle Norris played Super Mario Bros with Ashton and Rocky. :) Then, we I cleaned bathrooms, SO necessary! A clean house=happy mommy! This evening we took Ashton to Karate and then home for a quick dinner, called leftovers. Then off to basketball practice. In the car we had FHE. Sierra wanted everyone to talk about Christmas for 2 minutes. We all shared great thoughts on Jesus! When we got home we all had hot cocoa with marshmellows, whipped cream and a candy cane, YUM!
While we enjoyed our hot cocoa I read a story from our notebook of daily Christmas stories. Afterwards we did our Jesus picture. Then off to bed! A great first day!

A Christmas Miracle!

Let me start by saying Sierra does not have a bike. Her bike was to small for her and we sold it for $5 at our annual garage sale last May. I told her Santa would bring her a bike but she really wanted Chrissa, an American Girl Doll. We were driving to my Dad's house for Christmas dinner and on the side of the rode a girl's bike. We drove past it and I looked, a sign taped to the handle bars said "FREE!" I said, "FREE!!!" Jake turned around and hopped out and put this bike in the back of our car. Santa brought Sierra a bike too! It fits her, it's her favorite color, it says "Glamour Girl" and it is in such great condition! A Christmas Miracle!

Caroling with the Scouts!

(Thanks Heather D. for the picture!)
About a week ago, the cubscouts went caroling to the elderly and we got to join Jake. We loved singing and loved watching all the grandma's and grandpa's enjoy the music and even sing along. Brother Heyborne played the guitar and it was such a nice touch. The kids went caroling down the halls afterwards and then they got to eat donuts in the parking lot! A fun filled evening!

Ward Christmas Party!

We always look forward to our annual Ward Christmas Party. The kids love to see Santa! They know he's Santa's helper! :) In fact at the end of the party we saw Santa in his Hawaiian shirt and I said, "oh, he's on vacation!" :) The kids thought that was funny!
The program was very nice, they had different families from our Ward sing their favorite Christmas song. Sierra kept on telling me that she wants to do that, she loves to be on stage! :)

Ashton's Holiday Party!

Ashton's class party was so fun! We made crafts together, his reindeer hat and a reindeer ornament out of popsicle sticks. He wore his reindeer hat the whole day and still wears it if we are going to a Christmas Party. I loved being with my boy!
Look who came!

Ashton would not take his eyes off of him. "Mom, I think that is the real Santa!"

He even came with a sack full of toys, Ms Eugenia was his helper!

Santa was telling the kids what he does if they don't have a fireplace for him to go down. He uses this magical key!

Santa brought Ashton a Cars Movie Racecar!

Miracle on 34th Street!

Last Saturday night Jake and I took Sierra to see Miracle on 34th Street at the Canyon Theatre Guild. What a cute Theatre! The play was very well done and we all enjoyed it very much!

Bad Mommy!

Shrinky Dink's, So much fun!!! Janelle bought the kids this kit last year and I saved it and we did it this year. The kids colored all the ornaments and then you put them in the oven and watch them shrink. However, I am always telling my kids "follow directions" and this time I didn't follow the directions. I was supposed to punch a hole in the ornament before shrinking. So now we have all of these really cute ornaments that we can't hang on our Silver tree! Bad Mommy!! I apologized to my kids! They were okay, they were excited that now they could just play with the ornaments. :) What sweet children!

We did find a lone ornament under the box on the carpet, I did follow the directions this time and we have one ornament on the tree!
