bottlecap jewelry

These girls are into bottlecap necklaces. You have the necklace and it has a piece of metal on it and then you have these bottlecaps that have magnets on them and you can interchange bottlecaps to match your outfits. Well, Sierra found about 28 bottlecaps on the ground when we were camping at the beach at the beginning of June. We washed them and spray painted them silver and yesterday these girls decorated their very own bottlecaps. I had all the supplies there and they just decorated all themselves. They did such a great job! They turned out so so cute!
Today Sierra bought magnets for each of them with her own money. She has them stored on her bed and LOVES where she has them and LOVES showing them off. She couldn't wait to show her daddy when he got home and she even had her brother wearing one of them to daddy's softball game.

Bad Mommy!

Shrinky Dink's, So much fun!!! Janelle bought the kids this kit last year and I saved it and we did it this year. The kids colored all the ornaments and then you put them in the oven and watch them shrink. However, I am always telling my kids "follow directions" and this time I didn't follow the directions. I was supposed to punch a hole in the ornament before shrinking. So now we have all of these really cute ornaments that we can't hang on our Silver tree! Bad Mommy!! I apologized to my kids! They were okay, they were excited that now they could just play with the ornaments. :) What sweet children!

We did find a lone ornament under the box on the carpet, I did follow the directions this time and we have one ornament on the tree!
