B is for...

Ashton did great in his basketball game. He scored 6 baskets. He even cheered for the other team when they made a couple of shots. He was a team player and a good sport. That's all part of playing a sport and I'm so proud of him. We had a great crowd cheering for him too, Uncle Norris and Aunt Brenna and Tate. Papa came too.
Sierra babysat for the first time last night on her own for my sister Sophi. She did such a great job. Lucy gave her a hard time at bedtime but she figured it out. She came home so happy. She is so capable and responsible. I thought about her but I never worried. So proud of my baby girl growing into a beautiful young woman.

Playing catch up...

This week we had computer problems SO no blogging was going on but it was a crazy week.
Went on a field trip with Ashton's class on Tuesday to the Getty Center, no pictures, forgot camera. :(
We had such a great day, I just chaperoned Ashton and Eliza G. and they were absolute angels.
They were interested when I was telling them about different things we saw in the museum and I would actually read the captions to them and they would listen.
We LOVED the garden.
We sat on the big tiles in the middle of the water in the fountain area and felt like we were on our own little island.
We loved the Paris exibit.
We loved the tram ride.
We loved our day!
One of the mom's said when we were waiting for out last tram back to the car that she can't tell you how many times they got yelled at by the Museum staff. One person even said to her, you have to watch them and the mom replied, I'M TRYING! Another mom said her stress level is up to here and she motioned above her head. So glad I had the two little angels that I had because we never got yelled at and we loved every minute. NO STRESS! :)
On Wednesday I had Sophi's boy's for an hour or so after I got Ashton from school and I got to watch and snuggle Lucy too! That was a great day!
Kimi babysat the kids that afternoon into the night because Jake, I and Janelle went to the 4:30 session and we got to be there for the Chapel session with the Stake.
My kids LOVE Kimi! They even got to make brownie cookies, play HORSE (basketball) and watch Evan Almighty! She is so FUN!
Friday Sierra had a retainer checkup and she gets to stop wearing her retainer. So her fang teeth can move down. She was excited. We went and did recycling and Sierra made $32. Jake and Ashton went to baseball practice while I reorganized the garage. Then Jake had to go back to work, then mow the lawn. I went and picked up pizzas.
Saturday was crazy...
My mom and I did a garage sale at her house with the rest of the track. Sierra and Ashton both sold stuff too! My mom made cinnamon rolls and Sierra sold them for $1. Friday night Jake and I put out some things on the sidewalk with free signs. Our BBQ that was falling apart. Our tugboat sandbox and our kids picnic table that was falling apart too. A funny story, the BBQ was the first to be taken by a guy with a huge trailer attached to his truck. Then we saw one of the neighbor kids pushing the sandbox up the street to his house and next thing I know I see the picnic table being pushed up the grassy hill by another neighber kid to his house across the street. SO FUNNY! YAY, mission accomplished. :)We finished the garage sale while Jake went and moved Bill. Dropped off our leftovers at the goodwill truck. Went to Ashton's baseball game. Then Jake had to go do an Open House for a Realtor. While I got my lesson ready, reorganized the house after selling furniture and needed to find new places for things. Vacuumed. Made waffles and eggs for dinner. Ironed. Made cookies for my lesson. Finished laundry while watching Narnia #3 with my family. Didn't sit down with my husband until about 10:30pm but finally enjoyed time with him.

boys

I was surrounded by boys all day long...I had Blake and Jordan and then my mom came with Nixon and Rossi...What a fun day full of playing baseball, basketball, soccer, riding bikes, swimming, napping, eating frozen yogurt pops...

Lots of changes since I last had Blake and Jordan...Blake potty trained and swimming really good to me even with his face in the water. Jordan crawling and eating every thing in sight. :)

I love munching on my sweet nephews...he did not get that booboo at my house

Then my sweet girl came home...she was at Math Camp and then got to go to Karlie's to finish their ty dy t-shirts, wow they turned out so so cute! They made up a day, BFF day and they put BFF day on their shirts with rhinestones (a day once a week when they get to get together and do something fun and crafty) We've been able to have BFF day 3 times this summer.

She was so wonderful when she got home. She was so happy and so helpful. She was reading a book to Rossi, cleaning up the disaster we had going on with toys everywhere, playing games with the boys, wanting to help me with dinner. I told her that she made my day the moment she walked in the door! :)

Another nice day...

Brixey boy's came and we didn't go anywhere. We watched "Lots and Lots of Trains" and played and played and ate donuts. During nap time, put homemade mac and cheese in the crockpot, finally got makeup on and changed my clothes. Threw together some Brie and crackers (so yummy). Si came home. Brixey boy's got picked up. Dropped Ashton off at mom's and me and Si went to Activity Day's. Today they got to display something they have accomplished and mom's were invited and we got to eat yummy food. I loved being there with my girl. She displayed her drawing of the owl that is framed in our house. She got to get up in front and talk about it and then she snuggled with her mom the rest of the time. Thanks Si!
When we got home it is major clean up time because now no babysitting till next week. Kids helped me pick up toys and each vacuumed one room and then Si mopped the hallway and I did the rest. :) Ashton watered all the plants. I loved all the help.
Ashton waited for daddy to come home. Our kids are SO glad when daddy comes home! :)
Sierra practiced her piano without being asked! :)

Daddy had pack meeting and we made banana, chocolate, peanut butter milk shakes and devoured them too! :)

TODAY

A busy day but a pretty great day!
Drove carpool.
Brixey boy's came.
Drove Ashton to school but we were late because I had to get gas first.
He was sad about getting there right during circle time, but later told me "mom, I was so lucky because I only had to do clean up one time and everyone else had to do it 2 times!"
Picked up beehives to go heart attack another beehive for her birthday, Jordan cried in the car until he fell asleep. I had a beehive in my car and was frantically in the house trying to make him a bottle out of frozen breast milk and it was taking FOR.EVER to defrost in the hot water. By the time I got back in the car with the bottle he was asleep. OH WELL! Luckily the beehive I had in the car is the oldest of 5 children, I don't think the crying bothered her much. :)
Walked to get Ashton from school.
Ate lunch at the park.
Strollered home while Ashton scootered.
Got home in time for naps. :)
Watched Mulan with Ashton during nap time.
Everybody woke up, Sierra got home and...

we all loaded up in the car to head to Chuck E Cheese for Blake's 3rd Birthday Party. His family was there waiting for us.
Blake was so excited when we were driving over there. He kept saying "have to go to Chuck E Cheese." And when he saw it he started screaming. :)
Chuck E Cheese was NOT busy. There were only like 3 other families there and it was wonderful. We could play whatever we wanted to. I actually felt totally comfortable letting my kids just go play without me following them around.
Sierra got 500 tickets and got a diary.
Ashton earned 85 and got a racecar. (with mom paying an extra 30 cents) :)
Came home and made bread.
Jake cleaned up all the toys, a good husband.
Ate lots of warm bread.
A good Wednesday!

A GREAT DAY!

Drove carpool. Babysat today and it went great! Took Ashton to school. Stayed at home and played and gave Jordan a nap. Then, I strapped the boys into my double jogger stroller and put Ashton's scooter on top and his helmet underneath and we walked to school to pick him up. We got there a half hour early so Blake could play at the park. Got Ashton. Played basketball at the basketball court, he has been dying to do that. He actually made 2 baskets. We walked home while Ashton scootered. Put Blake down for a nap and Jordan went down shortly after. Played catch with Ashton and watched Spongebob, snoozed a little on the couch too. Carly came home with Sierra. Boy's left. Took Carly home and headed to...
Vincenzo's for this big guy's birthday party! Uncle Blake turned 21! :)

We love it when someone has a birthday! An excuse to party! :)

We then headed over to Aunt Sophi's to meet this sweet little guy. Meet Leo, their new kitty. We all enjoyed him. He is the sweetest thing. Just purrs and purrs, didn't hear one meow.
AND...introducing the newest addition to the Brown family...Rachel Anne
7 lbs 5 oz; 19 1/2" long; born today, May 12th

This is my step-brother, Ryker and his wife, Christa. We just love this sweet family! Congratulations!

SURVIVING!

Day #3 and we are surviving! Today has been a good day! I just have to have it in my mind when they are here that I will not get anything done and then I just enjoy having them and I'm not stressed out.
Jordan enjoyed the jumper for a few minutes. Ashton wanted to get the baby in there, he thought it looked fun. Then when the baby was done he wanted a try but I told him that won't work he is to big, OH MAN!
Blakey loves trains and was so excited when I helped him build the tracks! Then he and Ashton played trains.

Look who we started babysitting...

Today we started up again babysitting baby Blake (2) and now there is an addition, baby Jordan (5 mo.)! We watch them 3 days a week (Tues., and Wed., and Thurs.)

We had a fun day! We went to the little Association playground and played for an hour. The rest of the day was spent at home, playing, eating, watching Caillou (Blake's favorite show), taking naps (even Ashton took a nap), and a lot of baby holding. Sierra is such a huge help! I told her "I just want to keep you home from school so you can help me!" :) I just want to be able to at least get the dishes done. My kids love having them! Ashton plays with Blake and tackles Blake (Blake cries, he is fragile and Ashton needs to learn to be soft with him. He is used to being rough with his cousins.), he kisses the baby, talks to the baby, plays with the baby. Sierra loves to talk to and play with the baby, she loves to be the little mommy! I have to admit today was very overwhelming!!!! The addition of these two little one's is a lot of work! Hopefully we get adjusted very quickly!

Saturday...

We were supposed to be out of town this weekend to Crystal's (Jake's sister) house but 2 of her kids got sick so we postponed and our weekend got filled up very fast.
I started off my sugar day right! Today I tried a new recipe for breakfast and it was so so DELICIOUS! Chocolate Chip Pancakes...

Then we went outside and rode bikes and played with our Escalade...Ashton is learning still to ride his bike without training wheels, he can totally do it but he gets scared. He had to practice before I would get out his "black car"...(I was arguing with him for most of it to get him on his bike...he was scared because he was wearing shorts so I had to go get his pants and then I had to convince him to get on his bike...finally he rode around the circle 5 times and then he could be done. I don't know why he gets scared, he has never crashed and never got blood from riding his bike.) I will get a pic of him one of these times...He does a great job riding when he is not being scared...

Me and Sierra went on our first run together...she did so great!

We had tuna for lunch and kitty got her first tuna can to lick from...

Then we took kitty to the clinic to get her stitches out...
and had quite the experience with her in the car...we love to take her in the car when we are just running somewhere quick but today she was all over the place...Ashton and Sierra love to hold her and they fight over who gets to hold her, they have to take turns!

She was even on the steering wheel!

We returned our movies to the Redbox. LOVE THE REDBOX!
Went with daddy over to the Ford dealership so he and the kids could test drive a bright blue Mustang with a black hood so he could get a free lift ticket to Mammoth, now Ashton wants to buy that awesome Mustang!
Had Vincenzo's for dinner! The most delicious pizza! and watched Lincoln and Rocky so Sophi and Rich could go to a Surprise Birthday Party!
A fun filled Saturday!
