LAPD

I had the pleasure of being a chaperone for Sierra's 3rd grade Field Trip to the LAPD Police Station in Mission Hills. This station is only 7 years old, it was beautiful! One of the girl's in Sierra's class, her dad is a Commander. He took us on a tour of the station. We saw everything! The Holding Cells, the Detective Floor, the Interview rooms. He had two people from the Bomb Squad there to give us a presentation...
and we took a picture with their robot.
He also had a Canine Unit there and he got out his Blood Hound, Lola. The kids loved the dog!

We watched the dog sniff out one of the mom's...and she did find her but the wind was blowing and she didn't do as well as the officer had hoped she would. Fascinating anyways!
A picture of the children with Commander Green.
A really great Field Trip! Thanks Sierra for having me! My favorite part was being there with you! :)

What an amazing opportunity for the kids to go on such a great field trip! I especially loved Lola the K-9! Vanessa you are so awesome to always be so involved! I know it means so much to your kids too!
