Miracle on 34th Street!

Last Saturday night Jake and I took Sierra to see Miracle on 34th Street at the Canyon Theatre Guild. What a cute Theatre! The play was very well done and we all enjoyed it very much!

Bad Mommy!

Shrinky Dink's, So much fun!!! Janelle bought the kids this kit last year and I saved it and we did it this year. The kids colored all the ornaments and then you put them in the oven and watch them shrink. However, I am always telling my kids "follow directions" and this time I didn't follow the directions. I was supposed to punch a hole in the ornament before shrinking. So now we have all of these really cute ornaments that we can't hang on our Silver tree! Bad Mommy!! I apologized to my kids! They were okay, they were excited that now they could just play with the ornaments. :) What sweet children!

We did find a lone ornament under the box on the carpet, I did follow the directions this time and we have one ornament on the tree!

Sunday!

Today was a great day! I taught my lesson to the Young Women, went as planned and I'm grateful to have it over, I have been thinking about it for months. Sierra bore her testimony for the second time in Sacrament Meeting. She went up with my mom the first time last month and today she went up all by herself and said her beautiful testimony, "thankful for my teacher Sister Stevenson, thankful for my family, thankful to celebrate Jesus birth this month and for his infinite atonement." She also gave a talk in Primary and did a great job! She fasted today too and it was not easy for her. She has a very sweet spirit and I'm grateful to be her mom.

This afternoon we went to Terry and Janelle's house for dinner and we helped them trim their tree. The kids both broke an ornament but still had a great time!:)

Tonight we went to my mom's house and watched the Christmas Devotional given by our prophet and his counselors. It was a beautiful meeting, with the speakers and the music. Then we got to help decorate Grammy's Christmas tree, tree #3! The kids loved it, they love to decorate Christmas trees, Sierra sings Christmas songs the whole time!

Today, a great Sunday!

Holiday Performance

This is Sierra's Self Portrait...
it was hanging on the wall at her Holiday Performance. The whole school performed the opening and closing songs. Each class spotlighted a different country around the world and talked about how that country celebrates Christmas. Sierra's class spotlighted Germany. They sang "Silent Night" in German. Sierra gave a speech and then they sang "Silent Night" in English. Then they did a dance. Sierra had to hold hands with a boy :0. It was a very beautiful program and Sierra was especially fantastic! :)

Oh, Christmas Tree...

Today we continued our Christmas Tree tradition. I didn't even have to go! Jake and Ashton went together, took Terry (Jake's Dad) along too and they grabbed us a tree without unwrapping it. I was at Sophi's house making cinnamon rolls for my YW's lesson that I have to give tomorrow. Sierra was with BFF Karlie at her iceskating competion where she won 1st place. Sierra was being a very supportive friend. When Sierra and I got home we all decorated the tree. The kids love to decorate the tree!!!

They found one that is our family as snowpeople. It has each of our names by a snowman. My friend Cassie gave that one to us and we all love it! Thanks Cassie!

TA DA!

This warmed my heart! They gathered all their Christmas books under the tree and turned off all the lights and Sierra read to Ashton "The Night Before Christmas" just by the light of the Christmas tree!
Our kitty loves our tree! She bats at the lights and the ornaments, hides under it and sleeps under it. This will be her first Christmas!

Scooter's Jungle

My friend Carla called me and asked if me and Sophi wanted to go with her to Scooter's Jungle, she found a coupon for $2 off during toddler playtime. We met her there on Thursday and played for 1 1/2 hours and Ashton had more fun than should be allowed!!! :) Couldn't wipe the smile off of his face! :)
In this picture if you look carefully right behind Ashton there is Rocky, he slipped and was sliding all the way down! Rocky was traumatized and crying, poor guy! I couldn't stop laughing, I know mean Auntie! He eventually went down with his mom and loved it, so he was not traumatized for long.

My boy is getting so big! He didn't need my help to do anything! Bitter Sweet!

Baby Wyatt arrived today!

Congrats to my cousin Amanda and her hubby Monte! Another healthy baby boy! Love you guys!
